Great player, one of the few players i like from the saints. Unfortunately will go home disappointed that he didnt get a premiership.

There aren't that many champions playing AFL. You rarely find more than one at the same club. Kouta is the only player on our list I'd call a champion.

Kouta has missed way to much footy to be called champion IMO.

Champions do it every week over a long period of time (see Harvey, Buckley, Hird, Voss) - Kouta cost a lot and was never on the paddock.

Great player but injury severly robbed him IMO.

There is alot of idiots on here the bloke has had enough and yous come on here saying he is weak,soft all that sort of crap or getting outed cos of salary cap problems bit hard he has a contract as for being soft i think if he was soft he would be still playing as he would not have the mental strength
to stand up and say thats enough im leaving on MY terms..

Great post - I think it take more "strength" to hang em up when you're ready....not hang round like an overused hack who cant let go (see Bartlett).

Sad to see him go, but it was rumoured for a bit. Still, next year the Saints will be in prime spot (again) for a flag, would have thought he could try get through just one more season

He did play footy during the 90s too.
