That’s why I reckon his record will stand a while.
College 1 and done rule means most (if not all I’m not totally across the exact rules) draftees will either be older than giddey once they make the league or have a very very short window to beat him once drafted.

Foreigners coming in from overseas pro leagues like giddey and doncic did will be the most likely threat imo, and that’s such a small pool that someone good enough and with the skill set and player type is rare enough that it might take a while.

If giddy can become an all star / DPOTY level player in a couple years not being able to shoot should be less of an issue
Haha, I actually agree with you..

He is learning how to shoot, that's why he's taking shots in game. It's nice to see him take shots and not be afraid, he'll continue improving. His 3pt % is 28.0, league avg is 34.8.
Yeah one of the most exciting things I’ve seen is how fearless gidds has been to keep shooting in games.
Especially opposed to Simmons.

To be fair to Giddey he's playing for an OKC team that is objectively bad, in a market where no one really cares.

Simmons was playing in Philly who went 52-30 in his rookie season. All different kinds of pressure.

A couple of Boomers tidbits about our WC qualifying games.

First window of games coming up late next month with two against Taipei and one against Japan. From what I can gather it seems like the team could be a bit on the weaker side, with the NBL needing to continue to play through the window. Outside of Australia the only players we’ll probably have access to are Asian based (Nick Kay).

The second window sounds like it could be a bit more exciting, with it looking likely the games (against China and Japan) will be played in June/July on home soil after the NBA season is finished. The plan is for the NBA players to play. There’s a small section on it in this article if you scroll past the Cambage stuff.

2nd last in the nba of those that take shots

A bit of news on the threads namesake.

I think it’s about time he comes to the NBL personally, but I’m guessing this is his last ditch effort of getting back in the league.
