Steve Nash's comments about not being concerned about Simmons' shooting concerns me. It's similar to how Doc Rivers approached it when he moved to Philly, but then realised it was an issue when it was too late

If doc has Mills. Harris. Irving. Kd. It might have gone different.

Curry was generally alright apart from killed by the hawks. His shooting is handy

Bit late but quite a parting shot from Embiid. Hopefully he uses it as motivation to prove him wrong.

It's true, all he cared about was his own stats. Maybe Patty will get him to buy into the team first mentality. Brooklyn can't sit out Ben too much longer if they want to win this season. KD is out, Kyrie will continue missing a ton of games if the vaccine mandate doesn't change.

I don't have a problem with this if it's just a front for the media. Shut them down, get them off your back, but then behind closed doors, you address the problem with the player and work on it internally.
If he gives Ben the same message in private, then it's a problem.

Anyone heard when he's likely to suit up?

I think we're about to find out that maybe Joel isn't as easy to play with as everyone thinks.

If Ben was only interested in his own stats he would have averaged over 20 points per game.

I think Ben is obsessed with efficiency and making the perfect basketball plays.

Ben seemed to just have a lot of mental demons that stopped him from reaching his ceiling, not sure any of that can be attributed to Joel who was extremely accommodating to Ben. He did everything he could to get the best out of Ben, Ben just didn’t do the best to get the best out of himself. Hopefully that changes in Brooklyn.

Joel literally played on the perimeter to give Ben space inside and gave him the dunkers/post spots. Ben wasn't accommodating to Joel, Ben knew scoring/attacking was hard for him. He didn't want that responsibility and was afraid of that pressure so he took the easy option and avoided it. Ben knew passing was easy to him so he always reverted to his easy option and brought up his assist totals in the media. He didn't put in the effort to improve on his weakness even though improving on it or even trying to improve on it would be for the betterment of the team.

He will most definitely need to score on this Brooklyn team with KD out and Kyrie missing multiple games, lets see if this break has changed his approach. Your statement clearly shows you have no idea...

Also, if he was obsessed with making the perfect basketball play then he would've taken responsibility to increase his scoring and take jump shots, as they would've been the ideal basketball plays to improve his team.

How was the last sentence necessary?
