Aldi, I believe. Quite a few restaurants, our local butcher and fish & chips shop, but not other takeaways we use. You're right, it's rare with big businesses but quite a few SMEs have a surcharge.

The butcher is a friend - he introduced a surcharge about a year ago. He told me another butcher he knows introduced a surcharge, and within a week the cash part of his takings had more than doubled.

Personally I think they should just build it in to their prices along with every other expense.

They should absolutely included in their overall cost structure. Let say it costs them 1.5%, on a bill of say $50 it is 0.75c - just build it into your overall cost structure just like your other fixed costs.

And holding more cash creates its own security risks.

😂 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Cwissy Bowen what a useless doofus.

Labor to push regulations allowing states to force coal-fired power to stay online

Sky News host Chris Kenny says Climate and Energy Minister Chris Bowen is looking to allow state governments to “force” coal-fired generators to stay in the market “if they need to”.

“News today the green-as-they-get, green as Kermit the Frog, Chris Bowen, the climate and energy minister, he is looking at rules and regulations that will allow state governments to force coal-fired generators to stay in the market,” Mr Kenny said.
Mr Kenny sat down with Shadow Resources Minister Susan McDonald to discuss the Australian government's energy strategy and its reliance on coal and gas amid rising electricity costs.

Ms McDonald criticised the Labor government's push for renewables-only policies, arguing essential baseload power is necessary to prevent an energy crisis.

Yeh, I said they could drive a bus thru the holes in the Coalition nuclear policy - make that a double decker bus.

Oh, has is there a clip of Chris Bowen actually saying that or is this more deflection from the Sky News goons?

I mean Chris Kenny of all people.

LOL

As if Kenny would go to air with that if he didn't have a gilt edge source.

I'll wait for Cwissy to deny it, over 24 hours later and zero, nada, nought from Cwissy.

If it's not the case he would have been on the front foot before now, no way his staff wouldn't be all over it and taken steps to debunk it.

So pretty much every credible energy expert & economist has canned the credibility of Dutton's nuclear proposal...

Some very credible news services there.

Forget the news source... why do nearly all credible energy experts & economists say that Nuclear is not viable.

Anyone buying Dutton's plan is not engaging their brain as the the modelling is dodgy!

The other key issue is this does nothing to help energy prices for decades!

The report doesn’t detail how much your energy bill will cost - that was not included. All this talks about is building the nuclear power plants.

This might be Dutton’s undoing - he will have the support of the MSM (Murdoch and Nine Entertainment Network) but all the experts in the field will debunk all the costings.

What is literally amazing is we don’t have nuclear power now but somehow we will become one of the world leaders in power generation from nuclear (38% of our power needs). WTF!

Coalition can’t be trusted - all these type of projects are overbudget etc.

This brain fart re : nuclear, which is based on the country using less power in 2050 than it does now, will be the same.

Absolute cockup by Mr Potato Head. Now we know why it took so long for the policy to be released, because it literally is a bucket of 💩.

Now I don’t want to put a label Mr Potato Head but he has been a failure in every single ministerial post he had in the Abbott/Turnbull and Morrison governments. And today, he failed again.

Back when the dodgy Angus Taylor was energy minister... going to cost 3x their estimates.

Now he wants to be Treasurer lol, with more dodgy energy costings.

Liberals used to be known for more credible economics, but for while now...

A mother assaulted and her baby's skull fractured in one home invasion and a woman r*ped in her bed in another. Not much happening in sleepy old Alice Springs hey Kane McGoodwin.

If ignorance, stupidity and apathy were virtues you would forever be known as Saint Kane.

It's horrible & nowhere did I claim that everything is rosey in Alice Springs. Far from it as I said there are major problems, certainly for Australia standards. There are also no easy fixes.

All I said is the claim its the 16th most dangerous city in the World is completely ridiculous in every respect.

Your posting is beyond pathetic as once again completely misrepresenting what I said... but you are a terrible poster.

Whatever you think of nuclear, is this a smart move politically by Dutton?

It seems to me he’s a big chance of winning just by default, because of how horrific the current mob in charge are.

All he has to do is not f*ck up politically, but on the evidence so far, he enjoys f*cking up quite a lot.

Isnt it just all fake news made up by the deep state to discredit Dutton. Guess we just need to wait for election interference claims and voter fraud.

But then again you only like horrendous politicians when they dont operate in your backyard and you can have a laugh.

Back when lefty Judas Malcolm Turdball was PM, it was his baby from the get go, Mr renewables in person $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. The ALPBC's poster boy Malcolm Turdball.

Thankfully the Liberal Party rissoled him before he did more damage.

The doofus hasn't even got the self awareness to delete it from his website.

Angus Taylor is from the right faction of the Liberal Party about as far away from Malcolm Turdbull as you could get.

It makes no difference who was the leader - it was the Coalition government and they have cost us billions of $$$.

You would be going off your tree if it was the ALP - you wouldn’t give a rats toss bag who the leader was.

I’ll give you two more - commuter car parks and the bigger one - the NBN - they choose the cheaper FTTN rather than the ALPs FTTH/FTTP and we have had to do it all again at considerable cost to the taxpayer.

When it comes to big infrastructure projects the Coalition are the masters of sheer incompetence.
