Nearly as many times as you've claimed nuclear has no part in our energy systems going forward...
Not even close.

You have been posting the same thing for years!

Weird someone would cheer against renewables...

Do you have shares in the coal industry?

Again you post total crap, nowhere have I ever said renewables won't be a big part of our energy requirements going forward, my problem is the ALP's helter skelter approach long long before we have anywhere near the infrastructure or reliable energy firming required to back it up when the suns not shining enough and the winds not blowing enough to meet an energy hungry population and manufacturing establishments requirements. You're in fantasy land if you think battery will meet that need both short term and long term. Nuclear is much much cleaner than GAS.

Net zero by 2050 is an ALP pipedream.

... and yet you never bother to question why we don't have the infrastructure or firming.

Nuclear will be too little, too late, to be a viable solution.

You taking bets that the ALP don't extend the working life of the current operating coal fired power stations eking out every last MW out of them? Chris Minns has already belled that cat.

And why would the LNP's plans be any different to the ALP in the interim other than burning more of that fossil fuel GAS until nuclear came on line?

Nuclear won't need the same amount of infrastructure run out that renewables require, nowhere near it.

They're not going to extend their lives for 10+ years, which is what Dutton's plan requires. They might eke an extra 1-2 years out of them, but not 10+ - which is why Dutton's plan fails so badly.

Dutton's plan isn't even about nukes. It's all about extending the life of coal.

Feel free to tally your pro v anti renewable posts Bicks.

Your posts tell the story pure & simple.

At least I don't pretend to hold views the opposite that I'm posting!

Nuclear will cost each Australian household a very conservative $32K each & won't help us for at least 20 years.

You go on about cost of living & government debt, yet happy to pay a motza for Nuclear. So inconsistent.

The fact that you can't comprehend this reality speaks volumes about your lack of comprehension, and your political naivety.
Says more about your Political leanings than anything else.

Watch out for that bogey man Peter Dutton, you know that bloke that you and your lefty mates said was unelectable, that might have been true before Upgrade Albo and grim Jim got to work ballsing everything up but not now.

More largess on Upgrade Albo and grim Jim's watch...meanwhile Australian families struggling with interest rates and even putting food on their children's table..

No wonder she's got a big cheesy grin!!

ACCC bosses spent close to $50k on overseas trips to Brazil, France, Poland

Taxpayers have been slugged close to $50k so the bosses of the ACCC could go on all-expenses paid international jaunts to Europe and South America. See the itineraries here.

Taxpayers have been slugged close to $50k so the bosses of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission could go on all-expenses paid international jaunts to Europe and South America.
Tens of thousands of dollars in expense claims were released by the ACCC to the public on Christmas Eve, after the deputy chair of the commission, Catriona Lowe, travelled to Europe twice in consecutive months for events in Poland and Paris in April and May this year.

Deputy Chair Catriona Lowe.
Documents, released under Freedom of Information requests, revealed Lowe spent $25700 in taxpayer funds for the trips, staying in the four-star Radisson Hotel and Suites in Poland, and the four-star, inner-city Parisian digs at the Hotel Maison near the Eiffel Tower in the 16th Arrondissement. But the deputy chair has been outdone by ACCC chairperson, Gina Cass-Gottlieb, who spent $23,987 on a single trip to a conference in Brazil.

This nuclear proposal is just a smoke screen.

Dutton doesn’t believe in renewables and all the moderates in the Liberal Party are leaving (what was left) - that tells you everything you need to know.

Yeah, I know it's intended to destabilise renewable investment in the energy sector.

Why else would he not be also providing a solution for th next 20 years...

The thing that those who oppose renewables as the future don’t seem to understand we are in 2024 and the amount of renewables continue to increase year on year. It ain’t stopping because those in the energy sector know what has to occur.

The whole nuclear thing is nothing more than a delay tactic by the Coalition. It is primarily being driven by the Neanderthals from Qld - Dutton, Canavan and Littleproud etc - who basically are the Coalition (given Qld provides above average representation in the Coalition).

They ain’t getting back the Teal seats either come the election.

Just like Upgrade Albo has his old mate billionaire Lindsay Fox in his hip pocket

Just another reminder we need to get rid of political donations... as the wealthiest will always look to influence politicians on both sides.
