Katy Gallagher says the government has inherited the worst set of budget books in history. Is that correct?

katy gallagher is not speaking. verdict: WRONG with a red cross

Finance Minister Katy Gallagher says the incoming Labor government has inherited the worst set of budget books in history from the Coalition. (ABC News: Ian Cutmore)
They are the same party so they all created it.

Bottom line Bicks is the coalition kesp going on about how they manage the budget better, yet post Costello, the Coalition have averaged bigger deficits.

We are coming up to an election, which means both parties are going to promise the world. Chris Richardson said we should vote in the party who promises the least new $ spend. Will you?
Will you?

You'll vote for Dutton if that's the case, sorry I'm not convinced.

I'll make a deal with you. I'll post a photo of my voting card if you're prepared to do the same?

This is politics 101.

Both parties always blame the outgoing government for all of Australia's problems.

You have been around long enough to know this...
So you don't believe your beloved ALPBC's fact check when they find they're bullshiting

It's possible to vote for neither Bicks... which I'm more likely to do.

I didn't even read it as already know.

As I said before Bicks, the incoming government always blames the outcoming government.

It's politics 101.

You know it, so why are you banging on about it like it's some unique event?

Watch it happen all again next time there is a change of government & the following time & the following time.

Sturt.

Have voted for independents previously when didn't like Pyne or the ALP dud.
So

The Greens
One Nation
United Australia Party
Animal Justice Party
Democratic Alliance Party
Liberal Democrats
Australian Federation Party
TNL Party

and given several of them have been deregistered since the last election not a lot of choices there, of course given it's a Liberal held seat the Simon Holmes A Court Renewables Party might run a candidate this time.

Parliamentary library research obtained by The Australian reveals the seven teal MPs voted with the Greens between 73 and 81 per cent of the time over 27 months to August 22. The analysis also highlights that across 234 divisions in parliament, teal MPs voted as a bloc 83 per cent of the time when all seven were in the lower house.

On substantive bills, which if passed become law, Zoe Daniel voted with the Greens 81 per cent of times, Sophie Scamps 80 per cent, Monique Ryan 78 per cent, Zali Steggall 76 per cent, Kylea Tink 76 per cent, Allegra Spender 74 per cent and Kate Chaney 73 per cent. Analysis of procedural motions show the seven teal MPs have voted with the Greens between 69 and 77 per cent of the time.

We know what you are going to vote, it ain’t difficult.

And I’m pretty sure you are not allowed to use your smart phone inside a polling station.

Sturt should be safe for Liberal's Stevens. Got a scare last time with huge nation wide swings that you would expect will move at least partially back.

However, if the vote is split significantly 3 ways, it could get get interesting.

I’m still having a lot of trouble figuring out why people think the left is a bunch of demented goblins.

Well coming from someone who endorses the J6 pardons which includes those who committed violent acts against police officers im not surprised you think everyone who disagrees with you are a demented goblin oh and left. How about the rest of us are just ****ing sane, logical and empathetic!

Why would you bring this into the Australian politics thread. Nothing to do with the subject.

It doesn't get any more disgusting than this discraceful act by obviously brain dead individuals. No stone should be left unturned to bring these sub-human lowlifes to justice. Get off your ass Jacinta Allan and hit them with the full force of the law.

‘Horror’ as Anzac memorial defaced; John Batman statue cut in half by vandals

An Anzac memorial honouring fallen soldiers has been doused with red paint while a statue honouring John Batman has been destroyed and graffiti sprayed across a citizenship ceremony in the latest attacks leading up to Australia Day.

An Anzac memorial in Parkville honouring soldiers who died fighting in World War One has also been doused with red paint and defaced with the words “land back” and “the colony will fall”.

Parkville resident Bev Noonan, 85, said she was horrified to discover the “senseless” vandalism, on the corner of The Avenue and Royal Parade, on her morning walk.

“I look up and in horror, I saw it painted red, bright red, on every side with messages, you know, land grab and colony, the things they were saying,” Ms Noonan said.

“It was just a terrible shock and I couldn’t gather myself for some minutes.”

“Anyone who’s defacing it is just senseless, they don’t know what they’re doing, they don’t know the history of the people who gave their lives for us to live in this beautiful country.”

A statue honouring John Batman, the founder of modern-day Melbourne, has been destroyed by vandals overnight.
Police were called to the site of the memorial on Queen St, opposite Queen Victoria Market, following reports it had been damaged about 2.20am on Saturday.

The statue had been cut from its plinth and appeared to have also been cut in half.

A crane crew was on-site by about 9.30am to help remove the fallen statue and transport it to a secure location.

An emotional Ms Noonan said memorials honouring the war dead had nothing to do with Australia Day.

“This is the people who gave their lives for our safety and security, and it’s nothing to do with Australia Day,” she said with her voice occasionally trembling.

“(This) shouldn’t be happening in Australia. “We’ve, we’ve got so many benefits here (compared) to other people in the world, we’re so fortunate and yet we do stupid things like this.”

Too much senseless vandalism these days.

Needs to be bigger penalties, including funding restoration.

Nah, senseless vandalism in those days was the breaking of a shop window or similar.

Why not call this for exactly what it is, we see it every year, a vandalistic political statement
from those that hate Australia from the hard left !
