Fortunately, the four points doesn’t mean too much when you’re not contending for finals although a winning culture is obviously important.

Whether Fisher kicks that goal or not, nothing should change what the players take from that game - continue building the belief that they can play some bloody good footy if they play with intensity, and the realisation that they need to build their mental and physical capabilities to sustain it for four quarters.

Lots to like about today. Despite the loss, the wheel looks like it’s turning.

I’ve not seen enough of Reid.

George will be a more complete player than Jason because of his defensive intent.

He’ll also take a touch longer to hit his absolute apex of ability though.

There was no obvious player to sub. I said either Ford or Taylor.
But then Clarko subs off Will Phillips? Why?
Keep the tag going as long as possible until Will is spent.

Clarko has too much faith in Stephenson, but he is cooked. Came into the game fresh and did nothing. Couldn't even kick his set shot.

I am going to find out why Will was subbed. Fatigue is bullshit. You don't decide that unless the players says I cant go on.

Yep. Same with Charlie, he was roasting people all day to be fair. He’s a leader of our defence. Fisher knew he’d fkd it the moment he kicked the ball as well.

His first 10 clearance game last week, his first 30 touch game this week in his 20th game. That's ahead of either of the other two.

How anyone could come away from todays game and think otherwise is baffling.

Daicos didn’t want to go within 10m of him today, with good reason. He was a force of nature that was one of the reasons we almost put 100 points on last years premiers in a half.

His guts and determination today at points were plain scary.

IMO the mistake was to play Stephenson as sub, he should have been played in the first half then bring Ford on as the sub. I really don’t think Stevo is contributing enough and the miss on goal or failure to set up another player who had a better chance was a pivotal point in the game.

Overall though we have to be happy with the development and the endeavour of the team much to look forward to

We should duck Stevenson right off . He’s not a Shinboner.

I am of the opinion we should approach the AFL to allow us to pay the highest % allowable in the cap this year and then use that room to bring forward as many millstone contracts as possible.

Cut a year off some of the 4 year contracts we have.
