Not a lot of positives. First quarter and a half was pretty good but honestly never seemed totally dominant, despite the scoreboard. Once Gold Coast got on a run, never looked like winning.
Doedee was a huge loss - really needed another competent defender down back in that third quarter, plus whatever leadership and organisation he offers. Hinge wasn't really up to that role.
Thought Soligo was really bad, his worst game I can remember him playing and wouldn't be surprised if he goes back to the SANFL next week for someone. Poor games from Rankine and Sloane as well.
In terms of positives, Keays was really good and the tagger to half forward role he's been playing is a pretty useful one. As good as Rowell was, kept him to 15 touches while having 25 himself and two goals.
Also liked Thilthorpe when he went forward in the third, competed really well and really does look like he could be a great forward one day, just doesn't have consistent influence throughout games.
Liked Milera and Fogarty's games as well.
