I had to read it twice just to understand it, I mean it is straight forward but those font sizes are just hopelessly unnecessary and if anything detrimental to the design.

Why capitalise words that don't need to be stressed? Why bold words like 'put', its just totally random!

Why single quotes around one statement but not the other? Why five trailing full stops?

It would be nice to know the facts, I've contacted the BFL over it and while they promised to find out who made it they never got back to me.

This old school shield is terrible – they haven't even bothered to look up the font (Marbold, i know it off by heart) and it just looks so amateur.

I think making the retro shield logo tutorial was the first thing of note I did on this board. I'll never forget the font name

I just received a response from the Ballarat Football League about the logo.

The logo was designed by a local company that was not an indigenous artist.. hope that helps

Without any hesitation and with the facts in place I can say now that it is a disgusting attempt at cultural appropriation that in no way genuinely reflects the ancient culture of the Wathaurong people, rather it trivialises their artistry and traditions to suggest they are nothing more than a collection of dots. This is not being fussy, it is a slap in the face of Wathaurong culture.
