I mean, it's just a flag bro. inb4pennantbroView attachment 448296 View attachment 448297 The McDonald’s logo appeared before an official AFL video. Good to know an organisation as big as the Golden Arches isn’t above plagiarism.
Stolen work is still stolen work. I expect better from the AFL and McDonald’s.I mean, it's just a flag bro. inb4pennantbro
How bloody dare you come into my house and insult the GOAT like that - jog on.
In all seriousness though it's actually an example of solid graphic design IMO. The designer was briefed with coming up with something for the clubs new branding at the time - the Eagle and ochre gradient on the front does well to make the shape of the top half of WA, and has a really solid colour balance. The rear of the jersey could have done with being all navy IMO but that gradient has become iconic in itself. It's also a clear representation of the blue coasts and the ochre earth that makes up a large proportion of our state and I'm particular, its coastline.
My only qualm with the Ochre is the fat budgie, if the eagle had have looked a bit better it would have been perfect.
The goal of graphic design is to create a strong, memorable design and that's what's occurred with the Ochre.

The light blue wing outline. Just keep looking at the light blue.I’ve never been able to see the WA coastline in it. Which part is it?
