I still can’t see it. The wing outline is pretty straight and it doesn’t seem to match any part of the WA coast (which is mostly curves).
Well, maybe a photo of the actual thing will help. You can see that little "peninsula" thing on the wings.

I think that you're reading way to much into the whole it's the best ever because it was designed by angels while they were singing to the baby jesus fold.
It's a fat eagle trying to land after it's eaten a whole bucket of Chicken Treat, the people who designed it were on mushies at the time.

Worst ever.

A. I am the fold.

B. "Worst ever", eh?

That's either Karratha/Dampier, or a very-high-up North West Cape.

Fairly sure you’ve got it right, the Eagle would be the coastline from Geraldton to Broome I’d say, or maybe a bit less each way

The light blue wing outline. Just keep looking at the light blue.

a. Texas fold?
b. Was that silver top taxis a regular season Guernsey then?

The ochre isn't truly just an ochre like the fold calls it, it's a dodgy trip on a good day. It's only liked by those who love it for being different in a bland time, it's not anything but a childs painting done at crèche before nap time.

I guess some people just don’t appreciate fine art.

Yeah it's right up there with the Mona Lisa.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand and appreciate the Ochre guernsey. The colour composition is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of apparel design most of the design will go over a typical fan's head. There's also the representation of the WA coastline, which is deftly woven into the shape of the eagle's wings - the design draws heavily from Indigenous culture, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this guernsey, to realize that it's not just a work of art - it says something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike the Ochre truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the artistic creatvity from the children of Wembley Primary School, which itself is a cryptic reference to the evolution of the club from it's inception to the new generations. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as footballing and design genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a Ochre tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

What a load of tripe.
They threw a fat bird in shorts on a navy blue Guernsey with a sun in the background and mixed some colours on it until their acid wore of and stuck with it.
IQ lacking is what anyone who believes it's the wholy grail have.

The Coastline call is something you could debate about until Freo wins a premiership, but publicly stating that it's fine art is akin to the Maccas Full Summer adds.... nauseous.

I tried to read most of your post but I lost consciousness after all the tripe you put in the first sentence, it reminded me of my first semester at Uni.

So how high does your IQ need to be to understand the back side of it then?

I regret to inform that having the audacity to claim that your IQ is higher than other people's is a dead giveaway to the contrary.

Of course, everyone is allowed their own preferences, favourites, etc. Here's my design critique of the ochre:

Pros
WA is represented literally, which is clever
The orange/ochre colour is very striking

Cons
The eagle itself (as also used on the home jumper of that era) is not clear or visually appealing. I always refer to it as the "vomit eagle", looks to me like someone spewed down their front
If that is WA (which I assume) then the eagle is aimlessly heading out into the Indian Ocean (doesn't make sense when other jumpers mention facing Vic)
The back does not work whatsoever, gradient is horrible (cf Publisher 97)
Yellow edge does not match up with anything at the seam
Numbers are outlined, no continuity with any other element on the jumper, orange numbers slightly lost on the left side on orange background
Aside from the pros above, my overall impression of the jumper is that it is ugly, and more so with white shorts
And lastly, the psychadelic colours seem to induce verbal diarrhoea in some hard core fans

Freight Man's ochre designs uploaded here actually solve a lot of my problems with the original, and I like them. But the original is no masterpiece as it is.

Didn't think you could catch 2 fish with one hook, but apparently it's possible.

It’s called a copypasta, look it up.

So does this mean he really got the tattoo or not? You young people with all of your tamagotchis and whatnot.
Clearly not.
EDIT: You’ll see there is this exact paragraph but with all ochre references replaced with Rick & Marty references.
