Dogs and Saints would say no, that’d be way too good for Geelong.
so dogs will be happier if geelong gives a f1 to stkilda like the original trade?

Trading Macrae and Smith for pick 7 in either trade is wild. Smith should be worth that alone (obv it won’t happen Geelong’s f+f1 is most likely)

Based on last year it seems dogs rather not focus on potentials for next season. They need to bring in midfield talent to replace aging players. In 2yrs it'll be without potentially Libba & Treloar as main midfield with Bont maybe needing more time forward. So Sanders, Richards, Gallagher, Garcia, Harmes, & maybe west. A low pick is what dogs want reportedly & 7 Satisfies that. The trade favors saints because 7 is obviously going to be in demand.so dogs will be happier if geelong gives a f1 to stkilda like the original trade?
So deep that Bevo had to throw a Hail Mary putting Lobb back because he didn’t trust those in the VFL.
Cap is fine. We asked about Barrass and have met with Houston so there is space to bring someone in even if we kept Macrae.what is the appeite for the dogs to keep mcrae and his sizable deal when dogs need to be in a position to offer a decent paid rise to their two best players next year.
You mean regular draft? I believe players aren't able to set contract demands in that. Bailey would never put himself through that. Rather chance going to Tigers if that was his choice.Geelong have no obligation to give an out of contract player 2 first round picks.
They would absolutely walk him to the National Draft before doing that.
Luke Ball did IIRC. Played for $500k in his first year and base salary for the second. You mean regular draft? I believe players aren't able to set contract demands in that. Bailey would never put himself through that. Rather chance going to Tigers if that was his choice.

Rules may have changed since then.
It's moot as Richmond have a truckload of cap and loads of early picks.
