The interleague is looking pretty strong. All the big names have been training and has a good vibe to it. Looks like the boys are keen to win a game and committ to the league. Peter Newman has been great so far in his coaching role and earns respect when he talks. Likely starters in the side will be field, edwards, both jordans, half of sunbury, porter, vimpany and edwards from melton, Aussie larsen from BM, Magill, McCabe, Cape, Reynolds and McLeod from Darley and a few others. No real superstars compared to other leagues but the spirit of the team will determine how they go.

Coached Sunbury for a few years and has also coached up in the Cairns league. School tecaher i think. Thats all i know but somebody else might be able to help.

Did anyone see the game between East Point and Redan.

Sounds like East Point might give a few of the southern teams of the league a crack. Solid wins by Darley & Melton again though. Should Melton South have beaten Ballarat by more?

Some good names in there which will certainly help Ballarat's chances. I would have thought there are a few notable omissions so far. Where is Connors from the Marsh??

Has he been injured or is he just not living up to the reputuation??

Massive game this weekend with the Grand Final replay at Melton.

Hopefully the umpires will call this one straight down the line and we end up with two full teams playing the game out.

i think there are a number of guys to look out for in the 18.5's this year sunbury has there usual star studded line up with the pocket rocket dylan wirhgt who was last years grand final B.O.G. lining up for the lions again, and mitch brewer, bryden ross, also for melton south jeremy krojs and glenn ryan for the bloods but out of these it would be little wrighty for the lions who is little quick and doesnt miss if given the ball in front of goal. Surgey put him in the 1's mate no need for him in the 3rds just wasting his talent he's gotta learn someday what 1's footy is about. see if he can handle it with the big boys. hes my favorite in the 18's league ill back him all the way go little fella

Not sure if you havent noticed yet Carn The Pup but there are a few more stars in the under 18 comp that dont come from your end of town

Someone has given you some good mail!!

His name is Peter Freeman not Newman. He started coached at Craigieburn for 3 years, then assitant coach of the Calder Cannons and then Sunbury for 2 years. Never coached at Cairns he might have had a holiday there once!

Thanks for the clarification Kings Army. Interleague squad announce Thursday night so should be interesting to see who of the big names actually line up. Few injury reports already one week out.

Massive game the Grand Final replay, Darley & melton south under lights is also a cracker.

East Point were far to good for Redan apparently

Yes indeed he did, I never said that he wasnt a good footballer, I merely said I thought you were him... :D

Just another talented youngster from the Kangaroos that has gone to Lions, shame really...

Redan 18.19.127 D Lake Wendouree 8.10.58
Ballarat 26.22.178 D Bacchus Marsh 6.9.45
Melton 19.7.121 D Sunbury 10.16.76
Darley 26.9.165 D Melton South 8.10.58
East Point 13.16.94 D Sebastopol 5.8.38

Solid win by Redan to show that they will still be competitive.

Ballarat were to fast, quick and skillful for a poor bacchus marsh. I dont think they will win a game soon. Maybe against South, lakers or sebas are their best chance.

Could their be a changing of the guard - Sunbury have again failed against quality opposition and are now two games back from teh top teams. Melton are all class and the team to beat.

Darley thumped a very poor Melton south who lacked direction and were constantly beaten for the hard ball.

And east point continued on their merry way against a valiant but undermanned sebas, who again wont win many games this year like the marsh.

I've heard (although unconfirmed) that he could miss the rest of the year. If he does come back it will be with a reduced capacity.

dont think that it is quite that serious dave... spoke to a bloke from redan today and he mentioned that they have the bye this weekend and that should help so it seems it is not too serious...

McHugh is playing for North Ballarat Rebels in the TAC Cup and he’s going fairly well. The Rebels are undefeated atop the ladder and McHugh has been regularly in their better players. He has been included in the squad for the National Championships Trials for the annual under-18 carnival.

what was the injury then? knee, ankle...

Can anyone tell me how Dan Jordan has been playing? Apart from round one he hasn't really featured in the best and hasn't made a huge impact on the scoreboard. I haven't seen him play though...
