I'm not really arguing. I just don't see the thread-worthiness of a fairly minor incident that the rules are fully equipped to deal with.

Cunningly elbowing a player in the guts to gain advantage to win the ball is a low & dirty tactic. Just for one moment try to imagine James Hird playing like that.. Unimaginable isnt it? Yet it's part & parcel of the Ballantyne's tool kit, and needs to be stamped out before he ruptures someones spleen. The fool is a liability and a blight to the imagine of this game. 3 weeks.

I heard the cheers when it came up on the scoreboard that he'd been subbed out. It's not like they cheered as he was coming off the ground injured. Nobody noticed it.

It's cos there was no cheering an injured player coming off the ground on a stretcher.
There was cheers when an opposition player was subbed off which happens all the time.

I've fixed that one up for you. In all the games I've been to supporters don't cheer when an opposition sub is made.
