What are some great basketball documentaries that you guys reccomend people to see?
I seen the 30 for 30 episode on Reggie Miller "Winning Time" and just loved it.
The Jodran collection is also great and a must see for any basketball fan, also seen Sir Charles years and years ago but can't seem to track a torrent etc down anymore.

I have heard there is one on LBJs high school team somewhere? Anyone know where i can see it?

The 30 for 30 one about Hank Gathers, Paul Westhead and Loyola Marymount's unbelievable few years in college basketball called The Guru of Go is quite good.

Pretty unbelievable the scores they were putting up with that run and gun style and also a very emotional journey with regards to Hank Gathers.

Of course Hoop Dreams is the greatest you've probably seen that one.

Yep, it's called 'More Than A Game'. It's not bad,i definitely enjoy it. You can definitely see where his ego came from.

Any idea where i can get it from?

Have heard there is a Magic Collection out, or coming out as well. Anyone know anything of this?

Had its own thread recently but the Vlade Divac, Drazen Petrovic one as part of the 30 for 30 series was sensational. Just had a rawness to it that you couldn't take your focus away from it.

Its called "Once Brothers" iirc. The one on Len Bias - "Without Bias" is also quite good and fairly educational for those not old enough to know the story

the announcement about magics HIV thingo was moving....BUT

the diva/pet one takes the cake. even mrs north, who is not a sports fan, watched bits of it and was intrigued by it. i think it wouldve opened my eyes of the usually closed eyed america in to what bball meant to foreigners. i mean, here we have yugoslavia one one, then nek minnit lots of independent countries. one day team mates, nek minnit hated foes. serious mindfu*

I watched some of those 30 for 30 things last night quite good one i watched was that Josh Swade guy getting the basketball rules to the Kansas Jayhawks and then i watched Reggie Miller winning time against the knicks i thought that was pretty crappy but meh.

Might watch the Sebastian Telfair documentary tonight anyone seen it? if so any good?

Just finished watching this. I did enjoy. If I can find the early 2000's links to espn docos of Sir Charles, Reggie and Nique I will post. Gives an amazing insight to the players beyond the hardwood.

If you are really desperate for Sir Charles i have seen it at Jb Hi Fi for around $15.

Darius Miles and Q Rich had one when they were both Clippers. Think it was called Young Bloodz, but don't quote me on that. Should be a good laugh.
