The first bloke ran in very aggressively and Faye raised his arm and the bloke copped his forearm.

The other blokes then came in from everywhere and he lost the plot a little. He wasn’t running around punching people who weren’t looking or who were innocently standing around.

Ah well, good luck to Faye in his boxing career. Look forward to see him throwing punches at guys that are actually expecting it.

He's playing against kids just trying to have fun and throwing left hooks at people trying to break up the scuffle, he's a massive guy and literally could give someone brain damage if it landed. But yeah... sort of like it. Good one.
Dont condon it but FMD mate take. chill pill.

and mind you- he doesn’t come from an AFL background or upbringing where you grow up with on-field scuffles and learn what they’re about, why not to take them too seriously, etc.

Understandable that he may have gotten worked up and overwhelmed in that situation with them all charging him.

Yeah, it's funny, until one of the punches land and a kid gets a permanent brain injury or dies. You do understand people die all the time from coward punches, right? Also take into account Faye is a huge guy who does boxing, and it's entirely possible he could kill someone with one punch. How the * do you not understand it's that serious?

Happened yesterday Gold Coast dad loses fight for life after one-punch attack outside restaurant

Kids? Don’t be such a pussy. It’s a senior comp. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

I won't lie - I sort of like it.

Players are going to be very nervous around him.

Given the muscles on him and his height, players are going to be nervous around him regardless.

This shows lack of discipline. The modern player needs to be super disciplined - they can’t be remonstrating with umpires, can’t even run over the mark, can’t get sucked by their opponents, need to stand stationary on the mark, give the ball straight back when asked to, can’t accidentally bury a player’s head in the turf, etc, etc, etc.

Outright thumping blokes is off the scale compared with the level of discipline needed by the modern player.

Lmao he was just throwing wild coward punches at anyone who was near him, could've put someone in hospital quite easily. He should be charged by police. The fact he got a 3 match suspension is utterly pathetic and is why so many kids quit playing footy after juniors.
You crack me up sometimes Kapsta.

Not recommending for him to go striking blokes on the footy field if he can avoid it, but to call him swinging a couple of arms back at like 4 to 5 blokes swarming at him is, in fact, not a coward punch, lmao.

So throwing a punch at the guy pulling on his jumper is not a coward punch? You think pulling someones jumper is provocation to punch them?

A cowards punch is just simply not what you are doing major gymnastics to define it as.

That reply, just then, was one of the biggest straw mans you’ve ever pulled out. Debate in good faith.

No, that would be very undisciplined!!

I havent seen what happened. Nor read about it much only the comments.

What I do know is having been at a club in UK where we get a lot of non native players to Aussie Rules, players all have a different reaction initially to different things on the field. Quite often a player not used to be being bumped will just thump someone back or sometimes you see the odd over reaction when they are tackled. I think for Faye this will just be a learning issue. It is better he shows agression than to go into his shell which some players do.

This is the footage

Looks like an incident out of the 60's. I can't believe he only got three weeks for that piece of thuggery. More importantly, how does he look as a footballer? Has he shown anything to suggest he has a show of making the grade?

They've been trying to teach him the skill of jumper punching, but he keeps forgetting to grab the jumper.
