I’m confused as to the gnashing of teeth re: the heat.

I understand there’s lower interchange numbers, but surely this isn’t some huge outlier for temperature. We’d have played in 35+ before under Simmo surely?

I might have happened before, but that doesn't mean it should be repeated.
Typically games in this temperature would have been in the pre-season, would not have started at 3pm, and would have included extended breaks between quarters (and possibly shortened quarters). Combine it with fewer interchanges and it seems kinda negligent to me.

Start time absolutely a shocker, and as has been said it’s all for the Victorian TV schedule. 5:40 would have been smarter.

Injuries a concern but I think this heat favours us given we’d have been training in it and it is the very cliched dry Perth heat.
