I know right, staying up late as a kid watching Michael Bevan go HAM in the final snagging 4 or 5 boundaries to lead The Aussies to a miracle win over the likes of the Windies and New Zealand etc.

We will never see those halcyon days again. And it's a big reason I have turned off most form of cricket these days.

Bevan was the first thing that popped in my mind when talking about ODI cricket. I remember that game and as you said, I was allowed to stay up late and watch it all unfold. Great times.
