Actually wouldn’t be against him playing if we’ve sown up the WTC spot. Webster is the “safe” option but a good opportunity to blood the next generation. Bat him at 7 as the second spinner, behind Carey.

Saw them put up a stat that the Strikers were 0-5 in their last 5 new years eve games which now extends to 0-6. They should request to play the Stars next year.
Stars beat them in the last 2 NYE games.

Sixers v Hurricanes this year, nothing surer. Clearly the two best sides, Hobart more talented but Sixers are more disciplined and clutch in the big moments. Renegades will do ok too, especially away from that awful docklands wicket which doesn't suit Brown and JFM

They always beat us NYE anyway. It's traditionally the one game a season Stoinis pulls his finger out. We did win the first 6 so it's an even ledger now.
When are the Strikers going to get serious about success? They seem to have no idea how to build a winning franchise. Every year they trot out the same sort of mediocre squad and never look a serious threat. I expect they'll win a few games late in the comp after it's too late and end another season slapping themselves on the back for having participated.

There's a coach nearby that knows a lot about winning in the regular season. The seasons don't overlap so he wouldn't have to abandon the fanbase that loves him the most.
I'm onboard he can start immediately. The workload would be too high and he can't do Port pre season training as well. So on ya bike.
The applicability of my Strikers comments to Port were foremost in my mind as I wrote them. Uncanny.
