I've always said we could solve the issues by moving the Melbourne test to November and put Perth on Boxing Day.
And move the NY Test to Alice Springs where there's no rain.

Sydney was the only test bar Perth to have no rain interruptions this year thank you

I mean it was a terrible ball but it got the wicket so you can’t turn that down. Ball was also dipping and would have easily dropped below the waist at a normal stance

Made zero difference anyway, don’t drop Sutherland and you aren’t relying on an umpires call that was correct anyway

Doesn't that make the point though. So indifferent as a set of fans that you need festive holidays just to turn up.

It’s half expected to have a couple down years after dominating the comp for so long. Were probably due some dumb losses like the last two weeks.

Still wouldn’t be surprised at all if the Scorchers went all the way again though.

If only WA fans were half as passionate with test cricket as he is about this loss they may actually deserve to get a test match. Worst fans in the country and should seriously look at Hobart for tests over them.
Crowds where good at this years test.
Next series will be huge in Perth.
Perth is a city full of Poms.

Btw, how does Tom Rogers get MOM over Sutherland? Same wickets, more runs conceded and less runs made???

Rogers had a slighty higher strike rate - 158 vs 155

Otherwise I can only think cause he hit the winning run?

It was similar to our clash with Hobart, Rogers named MOM for his 3/25 off 3 - yes he got the first 3 of the match

O'Neill then got the next 3 in his second over to finish with 3/16 off 3

Scorchers dont look like it in BBL 14.
NYE in Adelaide was their only solid performance with bat ,ball+field.
Bowlers arnt bowling to fields. All batting innings start slow with loss of wickets. And fielding is sub par for the BBL.

Aging side in key areas and very poor recruitment. Whoever thought Hurst was good needs their papers stamped. Not retaining Evans more than ridiculous

Sounds like the Scorchers wanted to retain Evans, but we screwed up that plan by selecting him with our first pick which they couldn't match as they had already committed to Finn Allen as their platinum pick

The draft has definitely ruined the comp. Bit more of a mercenary type import setup now whereas before it felt like they were part of the squad a bit more when you could line the same blokes up every year and they were a bit more part of the squad.

Retention pick helps a little but it’s not really the same when clubs can poach them without input from the existing club

Evans and Bethel have been poor big signings. Would have preferred they took Akeel Hossein with pick 1 suits the style at Marvel perfectly.

. Good to chalk that win and move on. Won’t be beating any of the top teams with the key bats struggling like they are it was lucky it was only the scorcher who they were playing who are probably the worst lineup in this BBL.

Nice of Cricket Australia to give a Bethel a look at conditions out here though.

Agar actually hit some nice shots though. Rogers made 50 and I can count on one hand the ones that went where he wanted. Completely different innings
Would've been 100 on a ground with smaller boundaries like Marvel

You could have always retained Evans instead of paying for Allen though that was your decision.
