Cricket Victoria need to get their grubby hands off each team

Let Private ownership run the tram with the aim being to genuinely win.

Go back to that all Melbourne final - if it's the Stars who win instead, the team that was meant to be the dominant force at least from this state, and seemed like the favourite chold, do they still make the decision to dissolve the seperate boards & bring them under CV?

The best thing that could happen for both teams is as you said, remove them from being under the same operation & allow them to be independent teams again

If they did that, it would be interesting to see how things went for both teams

Gades batting like normal, shite.
I’ve been switching between Fox and 7 for this game. Fox have the duds in Sydney on and are boring as bat 💩 Ch 7 have the ground mics switched up to maximum and have commercials every sec. I’m sticking with Fox although it’s in a studio and boring they have the ground sound right down so you can’t hear the dj that’s a bonus for me but if Hads mentions the surge again I’m going throw my remote at the tv.

Renegades batting has been very disappointing

Brown started well but has fallen away dramatically
JFM hasn’t shown up
Seiffert started in a blaze of glory, then hasn’t been sighted since
Bethell getting starts but hasn’t gone on with it
Harris why is he getting a game in the BBL

What happened to Dooley?

Hatzoglou is a strange bowler. I work a bit with his brother who is a great bloke.

I think Dooley got figured out after his initial novelty value. If Stanlake is gone for the season with a shoulder Hurricanes might have to try Meredith, Ellis, Jordan, Hatzoglou and Dooley as the attack.

I'm gonna jump on the Hobart bandwagon I reckon

It would be good to see a team that hasn't won a BBL title win it and I doubt the Stars or the Strikers will be winning it.

I wonder whether you try Owens and a few part timers and think about and extra bat

Brown missed the trip out west due to "soreness", and he hasn't looked likely in either match since returning. Even when he wasn't going on with this starts earlier in the season, he was at least getting starts but now he's struggling to lay bat on ball - maybe not 100% at the moment

Harris came in after they finally acknowledged JFM simply wasn't working as an opener - problem is he isn't working either. Can go back to our match in Geelong & I called for Harvey to replace JFM as opener with Rooster coming in down the order. Would like to have tried that rather than going back to Harris

If the extra bat is Wakim or Doran it doesn't have a lot of value to me. Maybe they will give Carlisle a run. Decent red ball bowler but going to be hittable in T20 I'd say.

Who knows brings the other sides into it

I was listening to the ABC radio coverage of the pre-match for tonight, they were talking with Mac Wright about tonight's match plus Hobart's current situation - he commented that factoring in Hobart's forced changes tonight, they have no reserve batsman available for a concussion sub if that arose tonight
