Does he barely get to play because he prioritises BBL or because there's a better WK in his state? Genuinely asking, not being a campaigner.

A lot of travelling with the white ball setups I think. Similar to how Carey has barely played Sheffield Shield while being next in line to Paine. Not sure if he was injured at any time.

Phillippe has primarily kept for WA while Inglis hasn’t played. Inglis is definitely first choice

Annual arse fest from the Sixers tonight. Don’t think Hughes or Philippe middled one all night. Completely undeserved top 2 finish

Shouldn’t have batted like crabs for 10 overs then and made 210+

197 is a very good score and to win off the last ball whilst scoring the bulk of the boundaries behind the keeper is a classic smash and grab. Henriques the only good player tonight but should have been over well before then

It’s a good score but it’s NOT a fantastic score on that wicket, actually couldn’t believe Evans thinking it was a winning score. 180 is dead par at Optus and this was the best wicket of the season.

5th best ever score batting 1st there in a T20 game at BBL level from 35 games. Perth bowlers more to blame for that loss than batters.

They could have EASILY gone harder in the first 10, left a LOT of runs out there add another 10 and they win, the openers were turtles

We defended 150 on a similar wicket the other night. 10 an over is more than enough but every time we looked to be strangling them they’d get a feather on one for four that kept them alive

Hardie not a death over bowler. Dont think he will be making that same mistake again bowling himself with the game on line.
I thought Kelly might of got the nod when Jhye got injured but credit to Hardie took the hard role when required and I though he bowled okay

The scorchers have done very well this season plugging in the gaps due to injuries and players leaving and they still have to with the finals around the corner

My only issue has been the batting order...Both Hardie and Inglis batted recently in the top three for Aus in India ...basically have to do that now with Evans going and go for broke

Happy with Hardie at three but should have opened with Inglis in the last couple of games when Crawley left....I understand the want Inglis to face the spin in the middle orders but I would just risk it and have him open ....when he is on he is capable of 100 off 40 odd balls as we saw in India

Great to see Dorff continue on his awesome bowling so far this tournament and Inglis with the gloves has been really good

good signs

True that opening 6 overs was slow but to be fair the Perth Scorchers openers has been a bit iffy all tournament eg Whiteman, Connolly, Crawley and now Eskinazi.

Would have gladly taken 197 pre-toss though.

You defended 150 against the worst team in the comp! You can also stop this obsession with Agar bowling 4 overs of pies. Perth got plenty of edges and nicks too.

Go harder in the first 10, potentially lose more wickets, score 170 or less. Youre taking 197 every day of the week and to only lose on the last ball after their start only proves that point

Taken it yes doesn’t mean it’s some fantastic score and at halftime everyone was saying the same thing they were lucky Evans did something the rest bat Connolly were terrible.
