He has a good head, too. Quite a mature bloke who is quiet off-field and humble with what he's achieved. Not complaining, either. I see him becoming the new JDG one day.
I'd love him to discover JDG's on-field swagger. Very similar attributes, McCreery with the cleaner skills of the two. But Beau is offensively hesistant, whereas Jordy just goes for it every time.

All seems like a matter of confidence to me. He wrongly did not kick for goal running into the open goal earlier in the game - flash forward to that ridiculous snag, reckon the coach had a word to him.

Back yourself RamBeau!
THAT is his name now, good work Gouki

Probably from the perspective McCreery's a new player, JDG has a license to go for it. But McCreery will take the game on more now.

If he's not giving you tackling and pressure he offers very little else.

Must be in the firing line id play Henry ahead of him
Awful call. His pressure was immense, as it will be come finals time. Henry was both mediocre in the VFL and is injured.

Kreuger offered sweet FA in the VFL last week, but somehow got the call up. Form in the VFL is irrelevant for some players.
McCreery was weary tonight.
Yes, for some players.

Not for Henry, who was dropped with explicit problem areas to address that he didn't (adequately).

Love RamBeue (name courtesy of gouki88)

But gee his kicking needs work

However only in his 2nd year and brings so much more in terms of pace, carry, pressure and physicality

He had another one earlier in the game, where he should’ve taken responsibility and instead passed off and ****ed it up.

Carmichael as a forward is a better player than this dud.

If we do recruit Bobby Hill, McCreery should be straight out.

This is a very ordinary thing to say about a player who actually did OK.

We watching the same game? I was at the ground and I can tell you you're miles off in your appraisal of his contribution.

He worked his butt off all game and impacted many contests.

He is no dud. This is only your lonely view.

EDIT: The way posters who are meant to be fans can turn on a player is woeful. Are the same people in the Mihocek thread bagging him for the easy misses?

Very well said Ja.

He played an important role but his fumbling cost us. He needs to be able to offer more than just tackling and chasing as a permanent forward. This finals series will hopefully be a learning experience and I would expect him to step up a level next year. But he was certainly more effective than the other player you mentioned - and Ginnivan.

As supporters we isolate moments in the game and identify the cost of each error. Fumbles, missed set shots, wayward passes etc.

In the end, we lost by a kick. They did more right than wrong and the way they've been coached is to focus on the positive.

He'll learn from this, as will the rest of the team.

I'd bet they're not scared of playing Geelong again. :)
