and in regards to kennedy, its all about opportunity. If he had it at collingwood we'd be seeing results, but we didn't have a clear spot for him, hence why he left, for that opportunity, and good on him! Personally im not fazed, will be a decent player, but howe would be AA if he puts this form together for a year.

Had we traded Howe for someone like Oxley it would be win/lose to us.

Yes, had we even traded him for a 5th rounder, we would've won even more! Unfortunately you can't just give up spuds and get something decent in return.

Howe is exactly what we need. We don't particularly need a slightly upgraded version of Blair. Imagine how much worse our kickouts would be with someone who couldn't actually kick?

Speaking to a Melbourne supporter today who honestly believes that we'll come out on top in this trade.

Kennedy has put together two of the best games of his career in his two games against Collingwood this year. It was only 3 weeks ago he only managed 7 possessions and got dropped.

Even if we don't clearly 'win' this trade, we're not going to clearly lose it either.

Relevance depends on wins and losses. At the moment they are winning and we are losing. As a Collingwood supporter, it's not a good time to be sneering derisively at other clubs.

If you want to be a knocker it's easy to say we should have given away something other than Kennedy for Hwe. If you could say that by quoting an old post from 2015 where you put that option out you would have a real point.
