My mail is richmond wanted to keep Lennnon for 1 more year and he told them to GAGF. Likely to be picked up by North. This will gone down as the worst delisting in AFL/VFL history.
I agree. Good user of the ball. Nicky Dal rejuvenated his career playing that half back role. I think Lennon could do the same. Too much skill to just be written off yet. The tigers have made a big big mistake.Would be racking up 20 touches and 5 marks a game playing half back at the Hawks like Sicily and Gunston wouldn't he? Think that's his future and shocked the Tigers didn't at least try him in the backline at VFL level as the year went on.
Doesn't handle the physical requirements and pressure of an AFL forward.
He just got delisted.Definitely not as rubbish as a few posts on here have intimated. Mediocre more like it. Can kick and mark and would be best 22 for a number of teams - kicked 40 odd goals in the VFL.
He'll be at the Tiges next year (on a smaller contract) and he'll be on the fringe of selection again I'd say.
You must be related to him.My mail is richmond wanted to keep Lennnon for 1 more year and he told them to GAGF. Likely to be picked up by North. This will gone down as the worst delisting in AFL/VFL history.

From about mid year it was clear the guy wasn't going to crack Richmond's best 22 in any role, so based on that I'd rather give him some footballing education. Forward's have to be agile because when they get the ball they have to keep it alive to a team mate or kick a goal, defenders can sometimes get away with a bit less agility given they can react to the forward and can move the ball backwards, sideways or any direction. Broad's a good lock down player but a liability with the footy, Lennon could be a good user from half back and a better intercept mark, it's not really comparing apples with apples.Sicily and Gunston play with more urgency and are capable of doing so as they have better athleticism. I just can't see where you could hide him down back, he doesn't have the agility or speed to keep with nimble small forwards playing as a small defender, and he doesn't have the urgency, tank or speed to be played as a rebounding half back. He plays hesitantly because he knows he's going to be sweated on. And it's not hard to find third tall defender/small defender/rebounding half back flankers anyway, surely you'd go with someone who is more suited to the position. Simply put, Lennon's lack of athleticism means he struggles to play any AFL position. I'd pick Broad over him anyday of the week and he was pick 67. Lennon has a very wide turning circle and turns at a glacial speed; if he ever played down back, watch him get torched by Eddie Betts/Toby Greene types.
And I don't understand why Richmond would groom him for a role down back when every defender they're currently using is a better player and it's not hard to find defenders of that type as I said. Richmond are shallower in the forwardline anyway and he's never played as a backman in his life and with his lack of accountability, urgency or athleticism I doubt he's going to star there now. Richmond groomed Broad for a role that Lennon would probably most likely play and the side picked him instead of Lennon, and given his form, you can understand why. If there's anyone pushing for a Richmond spot in the backline, it's Short.
Lol how about that Lang blokeI'd take Carlton's list any day over North's. Who is your trade target? Darcy Lang? Lol
Lennon will be the Kangaroo's Big signing for 2017 - North get their man finallyMy guess is that he wants to stay because he hasn't attracted any offers.
Yeah it's pretty funny...north couldn't even get him to nominate them and we got him for a junk pick in a shallow draft. Nice try tho...Lol how about that Lang bloke
i heard there's a few VFL teams interested. He's got quite a decision to makeWould be thinking he's a good shot at landing at North if no other club shows interest.

Fun fact:
Ben's last name in french is pronounced:
Le'nõrd ('d' is silent)
Which translated back to English means:
The North
The King of the North is actually Wayne Carey. Ben was destined to play for North. And so itt shall be.
