His last game he played against Carlton was very promising,Except for his Goal Kicking. Beat Waite on the Lead quite Easily and Showed some good Field Kicking. Then Very Unlucky to break he Foot next game against the Dogs. Heard and Seen since then he has Bulked and Got More Strength that would help his Confidence.

Look at Franklin in his 3rd Season and Started to show what he is now and Hopefully Reid can do the Simmlar.

Hopefully big Season for Reidy next season:thumbsu:

I recon next year will be a bit like a building year for Reid. He'll hopefully have a good pre season, build more strength, get more games, get more confidence & will improve.
If he's given the chance, he will probalby get better as the season goes on & should be awesome in 2010..... or 2009, it depends....

We can only hope Dave.

I think the biggest thing for Reid is to find a position and for Mick to tell him that he's going to play there all year. It has been hinted that he could become our CHB, which would fantastic if he become a good player in that spot.

Well be interesting how he goes. He missed out a lot last year due to injury. I have no problem with him having a go at CHB, he might do a Jack Anthony for all we know (Play a position opposite to what he was drafted as and pull it off superbly).

Doesn't he play full forward?

Malthouse has said he will be trialled at CHB next year due to Rocca, Rusling, Dawes and Anthony playing forward.

Also his last game in the VFL coming off a 3 month injury was at CHB.. he only played a half and got 22 disposals and 7 marks.

How do you know?

What did he say specifically?

I was speaking to him about Carlton and Collingwood and about there kids and ours and he's exact words about that were "Carlton don't have 2 star KPP in the making like Ben Reid and Nathan Brown." Then we proceeded to talk about Reid for quite a while, and plenty of other footy and so on for another couple of hours. Rates Ben Reid big time.

Do you have any idea how relieved I feel?:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

could be a mackie type half back, his dash, height and mobility could be very attacking and be thrown forward and pinch hit when needed.... how is his contested marking? if good could be a classic third man up candidate as well

His Contested Marking is Quite Good

Thats a big wrap from him. I also heard he has been locked in the gym and put on heaps of muscle. Be interested to see where MM plays asa him, could be like Bradshaw a couple of years ago when he could go forward or Back. 22 disposals and 7 marks if pretty impressive for 1/2 coming back from injury, even in the VFL.

I don't think it will be Reid's "breakout" year, but I do think he'll cement himself in the senior side, much as NJ Brown has done this year.
