Bat Beat swanpool 1sts and 2nds and I dont think Swanpool's 2nds scored.

Most interesting result of the round was the "win" of longwood. Last quarter Longwood down by 11 goals and called for a head count. Doon had 19 on the field and score was reversed to nothing. Longwood won by 5 goals.
2 reports - CHF for Doon for charging and Tanner ( onballer _ Ben?) for a pretty serious hit on Paulke in the last 5 minutes. Knocked Paulke out.

I dont think I have ever seen a team so far up make such a stupid mistake as to have too many on the ground. Surely the bench must have thought what happened to the extra person?

Thanks for that so how do you think tatong seconds will match up to swanpool 2nds if they didn't score i think we have a pretty good chance

tanner cant help him self, white line fever , he goes crazy once he crosses that WHITE line, one day he will get his own back...............

Haven't seen Longwood play since 2005 and just noticed in the Shepp News that they have gone back to the Red strip with the LFC on the front. Good form, I hate it when clubs go out deliberately to copy AFL jumpers. Especially now when you can design and make any footy jumper. Good work Leggers!

Tatong 1st have the same desing as collingwoods jumpers and it look awesome

Are they black stripes on white or white stripes on black?? I do understand that many clubs have been wearing League style jumpers for years, that wasn't what I was mentioning. I was refering to Longwood originally having the red strip and then changing to the Melbourne Jumper. Good to see them go back.

Shepparton FC are thinking about doing the same thing... going back.
Tallygaroopna traded in their green & red vee for Melbourne jumpers. Keep your heritage I say.
 
Well done to tatong today against swanpool hold your heads high because even though we just made it over the line a win is still a win lets get more numbers to training and keep pushing forward.

i think tatong will just get over the line against doon and G'bat just to stong for longwood

Well the reserves did ok considering it was against doon, lost by 47 points wilco kicking 4 goals and he lernt how to handball which had a big effect believe it or not lol and i didn't see the firsts game but the scores where Tatong 13.10 (88) vBonnie Doon 15.23 (113)
Yeah tatong still have some inproving to do if they want to be in the grand final. next week will be a chalenge against longwood but i think it will be close C'mon tatong:cool:
 
Hey people try and ignite some conversation n here has been dead for a while. Was intersted on peoples top ten players in the league this year. This is my attempt in no particular order.

mayb dodda's from tatong and b 'mozza' morris from longwood would also fit in somewhere
 
i would say fairly close there but they all household names.. the un noticed players are just as vital- tatong, r webster captain n delainey kroota are contstant contributers in their side and killed us a few weeks back. Longwood- bully, chris.d swanpool- skinny, wellard, burgo. g'bat- bibi, nolan. the competition is extremely even and the next 4 weeks will be interesting going into finals.

I make it
Goorambat 1 game clear of Longwood
Longwood 1 game clear of Bonnie Doon
Bonnie Doon 1 game clear of Tatong
Swanpool zero wins
Big game for Longwood this week, beat Tatong and it will make it hard for Bonnie Doon to take second place for the finals. Cant see Goorambat loosing top spot but think they will take it with %.
Thinking Longwood have more to play for this week against Tatong and should take the points (39 points).
Im thinking its a big weekend for Swanpool and they will get the points (wishfull thinking) agains Bonnie Doon (17 points).
Tatong 2s boys before you ask, no I dont think you will beat the red legs.
As for the best 10 players, very hard to pick. A bit of bias from me but thinking Paulke, Vercoe, Morris, Finch and Webb would be very hard to match.
Goorambat Nolan, Doxey, Walker and Bibby.
Tatong Webb and Webster (he might be older than me lol).
Bonnie Doon B & T Tanner, Darby and Walsh.
Swanpool Murray.
Too hard to pick or put them in order!!
Last of all I would like to make comment on the condition of the Goorambat ground, **** it was in good nick!!!
 
Geez boy's its getting to the interesting part of the season and every one has shut up shop.
This week sees Grorambat host Tatong at the Bat Cave, would be great for us if Tatong can get up but personaly I cant see them getting close.
Longwood plays Swanpool at Red Leg Stadium and should have a comfortable win.
Hope Im not wasting my time on this thread and a few of you get back online.
Any chance for Doxey to get to 100 goals. 32 to be got in 4 games plus finals, he should nearly make it and would be a great effort if he can.

doxey probly kick 10 this week , who is goin to stop the supply to him ,?

Doxey wont get 10 this week. Walker will kick about 6 and will stop Doxey having to kick that many.

I reckon theres only 3 teams with a legimate chance of winning the granny this year and they are ranked 1,2 and 3 on the ladder.

After some interesting articles being written in the record from Swanpool over the last few weeks about someone writing in a local paper, watch the end scoreline from Longwood V Swanpool. Going to be a VERY agressive game. Gloves are off....................
