Not sure if he will be a 1 point player! Only played one year of under 16s and 2 years of under 18s one which was covid at Square before that was at Kyneton
There's a provision for 15 games per season to be added toward home club status for 2020 & 2021 seasons though think it would've been under 18s years for him and under 18s count for jack shit toward becoming a 1 point player unless Bendigo FL have a by-law to include it toward 40 junior games requirement, so I suspect you're right. Didn't play 5 games of VFL in any season so think he returns as a 3 point player rather than a 5 if he had played 5 VFL games.

Moama presenting to board
I hope BFNL and AFLCV don’t destroy the opportunity to get a proper club into the league. Tell Broadford no thanks get Moama and work on getting Echuca united as well. Hopefully Maryborough can come back more competitive and sustainable. If BFNL gets to 11 clubs so be it. A bye week with 11 team comp wouldn’t be that bad

Too late to tell Broadford no…they are accepted. They may still not get up and running but the league can’t tell them no

In this current environment, it is getting much harder to source three teams from scratch unless you get a whole lot of residents move in which means that outer suburban areas of Melbourne are the most likely to succeed at this. The hardest ones in terms of succeeding are country towns.

If Maryborough go into a second or third season in recess then the odds of coming out of recess will reduce notably as their player base will have eroded and the links will be lost. Broadford have found this out already otherwise they'd be playing next year.

The league would be better eyeing off northern clubs such Moama, Echuca and Cohuna as options. Three ready-made clubs already in its catchment area that will provide greater benefit for the league than one still-speculative scenario that can only raise netball teams.

I think maryborough clubs will merge. I'd think they might be strong for the mcdfl, so either bendigo Ballarat or Central highlands in 2026
