Interesting segment on who is in line to be the next AFL CEO.

Couple of things interested me. 'All of the clubs want Benny Gale'. 'The AFL doesn't want Benny Gale'. And Eddie that there needs to be a step change with a football guy in charge. Sounds like the AFL boy's club doesn't want any silly football focused person to come in and trash the apple cart. And Benny would do that big time.

I'd hate to lose the Chief, but I would love him to run the AFL. Would stop a lot of the crap.

100 different consultants and experts could tell the AFL that Gale was the best person for the job and he still wouldn't get it.

He might be the best choice for the game, but he's not the best choice for the boys club at AFL HQ.

I found Eddie's 'we need a football person' interesting. If he is representative of the clubs then we could well see Benny in charge.

The clubs know the umpiring and rule changes are awful. They know that they are bullied and garbage is happening all over the place. Even the ones dependent on the AFL would want a footy person in charge.

That's my hope. The AFL insiders might be overruled by the clubs.
