I'm pretty sure Broges took the number one mantle when Primus was injured a lot late in his time, and Ladey slowed down. As i said, i don't dispute your call. Although, if we didn't have the likes of Lobbe and Ryder right now, i'd take Brogan over Wingard at this very moment. Chad needs to find his promising form, and be consistent to convince me fully.

Wasn't Brogan still playing basketball when he was Chad's age? No one's doubting Broges was a good player but Chad Wingard he ain't. And I'd take Chad over Brogan even if we had Renouf as our number one ruck right now.

I've run out of debate on that one :p Yea i'd have Chad over 95% of any AFL player at the moment. Still very young, and a long road ahead of him. And he's a local boy, he aint going anywhere which is a relief.

I like his cameos in the middle. To me he's looking more Gary Ablettesque than Robbie. I'd like Chad to play more in the middle he seems to break through with class when he's on song. I'm going to have to back down and change my mind re the Broges comparison. I just want Chad more consistent, now!! I'm very impatient.

He's still a work in progress with this year showing an obvious step up in midfield time. He's still a very young guy. By the time he hits his 24th birthday look out.

Ebert > Mead for 33

47. Cameron Cloke

Nah, at least Irons played one good game.

I torn between the two:

JMAC or Chad??

Chad was a superstar of the competition for a decade, J-Mac played for us for one (pretty average to be honest) year. He was a fantastic bloke and a great loss, but let's not turn him into something he wasn't.

Ebert > Mead for 33
As much as I was a Brett Ebert fan (I know, should never admit that here......) Meady has to be the best No. 33. He was a good old fashioned defender and was the epitome of a Port club man.
Will never forget the day he was thrown into the ruck and the Meady chant filled the stadium. Can never question Ebo's commitment or effort but Mead was like a rock in our early years.

OP is kidding if Chapdick was our best ever no. 30.

Darryl Poole was by far better than Chaplin. Poole actually cared about the club and saved his cheap shots for the opposition on-field rather than against his ex-club off-field
That's the reason he put the thread on our board, I suppose.

Michael Wilson #15? what about my Avatar as #15. Both played in the 04 GF but can't have been in the same jumper.
Am I having a senior moment. For impact, skill and charisma #15 is Byron Pickett
