Naitanui does more if time on field is factored into it. It however is what is putting him behind the 2 others. Will be interesting when they all match up against each other who outplays who

Grundy averages more marks per game and both are averaging 1 contested mark per game each. Gawn has 1 per score involvement per game than Grundy (6 v 5) and has kicked 7 goals v 4 goals. In no way is he smashing the lights out against Grundy.

Grundy gets it 22 times a game compared to Gawn’s 15 and uses it better than him too. On top of that, he gets more than double the clearances than Gawn and lays more tackles.

We’ll find out at the end of the year who will be the AA ruckman, I’m pretty confident Grundy will get that honour. There’s nothing wrong with being the second best ruckman in the league.

Grundy is not the better player overall, he's good but Gawn is superior.

Gawn does his job as a ruckman far better, he floats forward and kicks goals and floats back and saves goals.

Also why are you touting Grundy having more clearances than Gawn as a good thing? That just furthers the point that Gawn is doing his job far better than Grundy and actually tapping to his midfielders who get the clearances.

We have very little need for Gawn to be getting clearances himself because Oliver, Viney, Jones etc do that for him.

Massive fan of Grundys ground work and ability to spread from a contest like a mid is unbelievable.
Nic Nat has the most impact of the 3.

Id probably take Grundy - thats personal preference and not a slight on the other 2.

No, not really. One game out of 22 isn't going to determine who is AA ruck, it is their body of work over the season.
