Oh no, apparently Brennan and Hooper are going to Essendon and Richmond respectively.

Firstly Fisher was picked in the All Australian Squad for being a CHB

Secondly Harry Obrien FB? I certainly havent seen Goldsack play on Riewoldt,Brown, Pavlich etc.

Hudghton is your FB and he's highly ranked by all clubs..he's ageing now tho but Maguire is still your CHB.

Part of the reason Fisher had such a great season is that he played FB and CHB on the big KP fwds and did very well...then as your injuries returned he got freed up...dont believe u should be claiming him in your spine tho just yet.

Hudghton
Maguire
Hayes
Riewoldt
???

..its still strong on paper. Hudghton is unfortunately starting to get a lot more of those soft tissue injuries that giveaway his age. 1-2 yrs tops left.

Weagles the strongest spine for mine.

Glass
Hunter
Kerr
Hansen
Lynch

Freo's would be better then WCE's and Essendons
FB: Grover
HB: McPharlin
C: J Carr
HF: Pavlich
FF: Tarrant

Sydney's and Adelaides are still fairly decent

Turn it up mate, West Coasts spine is well & truly stronger than that.

You are all missing the point. The best spine in the competition belongs to Robert Harvey. He has been carrying the Saints all these years and they still can't win a premiership.

Gilham v N. Ablett
Croad v Mooney
Hodge v Bartel
Franklin v Egan
Roughead v Scarlett

Would be an enthrawling contest.

Gilham v N. Ablett-> N.Ablett would win easily
Croad v Mooney-> Tough, but Mooney would win
Hodge v Bartel-> Bartel easily
Franklin v Egan-> Egan
Roughead v Scarlett-> Scarlett would win the contest, and rack up more possessions then anyone else on the field.

I guess it would be entrallling to see the Cats spine take control of the game.

It's quite funny that in the Prelim final this year, the Roos had would have had one of the worst spines in the AFL, with injuries.

Firrito
Watt
Simpson
Hale
Edwards

Next year (with development, our spine looks excellent)

Firrito
Petrie
Harris
Thompson
Jones

agree, but in 1-2 years it looks to be very evenly matched,

maybe but Tommy has hardly played and either has Nathan Ablett I think compared to Boyle they have much more room for improvement but so do Roughead and Franklin.

You do have Marky to come back as well but Dixon will be a bigger loss than most people think!

Thats why essendon are in for lean times 4 of those blokes are 30+ at the start of next season & stanton is nothing more then a solid AFL player.

Do you realise that Stanton perhaps only just turned 22. No room for improvement whatsoever? None? Nothing?

i think bulldogs spine is the best, :D
also who has the worst spine?!?!?!?!

Harris - 2007 b&f
Williams - most promising player at the bulldogs this year
West - 7 time b&f
Pick 5
Johnson - best small forward in the comp, 299 games under his belt

Just filled it out for you

Essendon would probably go:

Michael
Fletcher/Ryder (AA/RS nominee)
McVeigh EFC B&F
Lucas (top 10 coleman in 07)
Lloyd (top 10 coleman in 07)
+McVeigh is a better option than Stants in the middle at the moment

Cant go past Eagles for the best.
However, Cats:
Scarlett
Egan
Ablett/Bartel
Mooney
Ottens
tough one to beat

you have had hardly any injuries

That's true, but consider that throughout the year we had injuries to Corey Jones, Daniel Wells and Nathan Thompson, and played in a final where Firrito was clearly injured. Jones, Wells and Thompson are easily in the Top 10, if not Top 5 players at the club, and Firrito is probebly our main defender. I realise the Saints have had a lot of injuries, but our injuries weren't exactly minimal.
