Best Talent From 2007 Draft?

You must not know much about footy.

Alwyn Davey has already began pushing up. While I don't think he will be a superstar, he will be a player who well and truely deserves his spot in the 22.

Campbell and Thomas spend a fair bit on the wing, both playing big seasons and are very important, even if no one mentions them due to the fact they play for the Roos.

Wonaeamirri has spent most of his playing days in the backline and is being used as a forward for the Dees right now. Will probably push up to a forward flank or possibly backline when Maric debuts. I actually see incredible upside for him out of the forward line.

They will only be good players in a good team. They will never become stars of the game or genuine midfielders. Krakouer, Sampi are proof of this.

Time will tell i guess. Someone should bookmark this. I can remember talking to some people who were pumping up guns like Mark Bolton (and how we can run all day and night) and Sampi (who could jump to Mars) and Trotter (the next Jimmy Hird). All legit at the time but doesnt always translate to good/great footballers.

The same people accuse Richmond of missing Franklin.

Hodge was taken 1, Judd 3.

Franklin was pick 5.

How did 11 picks go by and no one picked Rioli?

Rioli is far and away the best player in the 2007 Draft and I am ecstatic Hawthorn has him.

Has Cotchin played a senior game? I don't think he has. This is not speculation, it is what he has done in senior football.

Why would Richmond pick an injured player as their Number 1 draft. Why not play it safe and gone for someone like Morton or Masten. It's clear that Richmond is going nowhere in a hurry.

So the Eagles could take him at 3 perhaps?

Easily. He's a forward pocket who may or may not make it as a midfielder, and had a couple of other question marks over him. Top picks tend to be KPPs or players in the middle.

As for him being the best, I think you might want to wait a few years before judging that. Even from what I've seen this year, I'd take Palmer, Kreuzer and Masten over him. They mightn't have quite the same flair, but they'll probably make a bigger impact over their careers.

That said, I hope he does step up to the next level...More top players makes the game as a whole better.

No, as stated, he was injured in last years finals, and was always going to be out until ~March...A few complications has meant he only started playing for Coburg 2 weeks back. Signs so far are positive.
