Hi,
I have a number of overseas guests on an AFL weekend who would like to see a local game this Easter and wondered if there is anything on Saturday or Sunday in terms of a practice game?

Please PM me if you know of anything.

Thinking of heading down to Marty Busch for the round 1 game, Sebas v Ballarat and see how Goodsey goes ....anyone else planning on going?

Good on you.I take it your a champion and multi premiership player.I wouldnt expect you to watch anything but AFL.Just remember many others like to watch local footy regardless of teams recent success or lack of.
I like local footy more than afl, but Ballarat v sebas isn't on my wish list
Why so aggressive

Not aggressive at all.Just like to see struggling clubs improve.I have followed this comp from afar for 25 yrs and seen it dominated by north, redan and Sunbury. Also dont like people speaking down on other clubs as without them competing you have no competition. You say you like local footy more than AFL then you should welcome and encourage struggling clubs striving to improve.

Two bottom teams
Sounds awesome

Brett Goodes has made a stance. He was offered plenty to play at the top clubs and he should be admired for going to the bottom side when premierships are not on offer.

Amongst other things he liked the idea of playing at Sebas where folk like Collard, Rioli et al played early 2000's.. How do I know? He told me so.

Wow your the man

I hope sebas improve, they have great people there. I don't give a rats toss bag about Ballarat though.

I like how my little smartie pants comment got this thread some much needed interest and some people backs up

Your welcome for me bringing some life to this

You should market yourself as some sort of exotic mentor-antagonist. Sell life sized alabama slammer dolls to all other big footy forums ... You sound pretty pleased with yourself.

Why?
The reigning Premiers in Darley will again be strong.
Wendouree were finalists and have added some quality so will there abouts..

And there you have it BlueJet, you have opened up conversation on a mostly silent thread. Hopefully the alabamma slammer might be coaxed out to respond?

I have watched your body of work on the BFL and EDFl threads for awhile and you would be the man to know, have Sebas picked up anyone post-Brett Goodes signing? I would have thought prospective young blokes might be keen keen to play with someone so recently out of the AFL system.

Goodes is probably their only big name signing but they have brought in a number of players from surrounding leagues (MDFL/CHFL), I think improvement will be driven by continuing to get games into their younger fellas

Lots of man love for Goodes. He played 20 odd games of AFL not 400. Acting like he is the most decorated player to play BFL. He will be unnoticeable and have no impact in this league.

Lakers easily the favourite.

That's the spirit slammer!

Give us your reasoning on why Steve Clifton who played a handful for GWS is such a gun in comparison to the allegedly unnoticable and overrated Goodsey?

Not comparing Goodes to anyone really, but get over him dude. The only people that will see him play are Sebas supporters. Opposition do not care to go watch their team play Sebas....even with the greatest player of all time there. Most teams treat it as another bye, rest players and supporters go away for the weekend.

His resume next to Darley premiership player Shane O'Bree looks quite poor by the way

Pretty ordinary call. He has recently played AFL footy and has been a star on the VFL for a long time. He will have an impact on and off the field. I am glad he chose Sebastopol
