I reckon that you've nailed it there. Eddie's call would have been a great call if he was calling for a Melbourne radio station. The fact that the call was on national TV was embarrassing.

I have actually enjoyed Dermott's commentary this year. I think he's become a better commentator over the years and my opinion of him has grown.

Eddie is the worst kind of commentator. He's ill equiped to give a balanced call on the game. Would be a good commentator maybe on a Melbourne radio station, but not a national broadcaster.

I dunno, Derm still makes his weird little sounds and says what's going on in his head at the time (which adds nothing). Examples being "Yeah good good, go son" or just the under the breath "yes, yessss". Kills me

In my opinion the worst commentator is Pav, any game he commentates I just cannot watch the replay of. Stop making inane sounds every two seconds you ****ing weirdo

re-watched the game and you realise how bad it is, just flat and indifferent..also how commentators can make or break a game,
is it just me or do a lot of our games get the ordinary commentators...or are there just a lot of ordinary commentators out there?
Actually it is one part of the AFL they need to address, more professional experienced AFL callers, not dumbo ex-footballers!
Instead of throwing gazillions at Vic footy and Eddy McSlimeball, spend some money replacing Eddy as a commentator!!
Leave him stranded on 'who wants to be a millionaire' where he can pretend he knows everything...he's such a creepy reptile!

Eddie is a powerhouse of Fox Footy, you won't find other commentators or hosts (Gerald and Robbo) potting him on the same network.

In my opinion Presidents of football Clubs should not be allowed to commentate on games - can't think of any other President from the other Clubs who do this! Eddie should make up his mind as to which is his preferred option, be a President OR be a commentator, but not both. Impossible for him to be unbiased.
