If big Rob could shed a couple of Kg's and pick up a yard of pace... He would be a sensational KPP Back (Pinch hit Forward) Great skills for a big bloke.. seems to read the play very well down back. His effort to chop off the pass to Shannon Grant last week was unbelievable awareness and pretty damn good athleticism too.

Rucks: Bailey, Taylor

KP Backs: Croad, Campbell

with Gilham on the 3rd tall and C Brown picking up the most dangerous small.

Just watched the replay again, very quiet in the first 2 qtrs.

Started to come into the game late in the third.

The last qtr was just sensentional.

I just hope this gives him some confidence to build on for next week.

Leave him down back i say.
Gilham looked very comfortable and not so rushed when Robbie was down there.

Especially when we play the Saints.
Gehrig,Kosi and riewoldt down back will stretch us.

I don't think Bob needs more mongrel at all. If Taylor had half the mongrel Robbie has he'd be a much better Ruckman. I love seeing Robbie get aggressive and run and chase. Keep it up Bob

By the look of him, he has shed a few kg through the pre-season. He looks a lot leaner now, and for a bloke of his size, he covers the ground well.

I agree he has the height and size to tackle most of the bigger bodied forwards, and could be the biggest fullback of the comp. He doesn’t seem to give away too many frees in marking contests either. I'm not sure how he would go against the likes of Brown and Hall with their speed of the mark. He certainly needs to get a bit more agro about him though. Maybe Tails could teach him this.

Clarko must have some faith in him though. He didn’t hesitate to send him down back against Neitz in round one when Croady went off. Maybe we will see what he's capable of against
Brisbane in a few weeks.

Once
Trent returns, he will still be our number 1 for handling the big opposition forwards.

Neitz is old and slow, and the ball wasn't going forward much. Very sensible to put Campbell on him. J Brown is a completely different kettle of fish, will certainly be interesting to see what happens.

Robert Campbell - MATCH WINNER

absolute legend, kept us in the game in the last qrt with magic efforts, great tackles in our defensive 50, and that great interception infront of shannon grant, where he sprinted 80meters to cut it off, champion!!!

Re: Robert Campbell - MATCH WINNER

ohh, and dont forget that brilliant run through the middle of the ground, where he single-handedly worked the ball out of defence, tapping it 2 himself all through the midfield, and then setting up play up forward!!!

I couldn't believe it when Robbie made that interception. I used to remember him as something of a big man stiff, but he really has improved out of sight.
