Ginni - yeah I loved his antics the whole year. I even loved to see you in two weeks bit and I want him yo keep doing it... But if you are going to do it then you need to kick 3 goals plus that game and stamp yourself as one of the elite small forwards of the game.

CJ - as someone else posted, he has the ability to be a game breaking x factor point of difference that you need to get over the line in finals (can we bring in Shaun Burgoyne as a specialist coach to teach that?

Mitch Lewis - if Mitch is fit and kicks 40 goals we win the flag - not for him doing that but because Calsher and Chol don't get the best defenders on them and their games go to the next level

Ward + McKenzie - the reason we didnt go after Bailey Smith was these two will be better - McKenzie could be a firestarter like Will Ashcroft was for the Lions. Ward is fourth in line after Nuke, Day and Worpel - he needs to go up a level.

The coaching staff - we now have so many options. The tall defenders mean Sicily can just be the classiest half back distributer in the game and Scrimshaw can play intercept mark all day. Both of them can swap for turns up forward. Weddle can play any position on the ground (like Adam Goodes in his prime) maybe we can play as an additional onballer floating anywhere. Frost can play small freeing Hardwick to go forward. I hope they develop all these possibilities so when things arent going out way we can quickly change styles, game plans and personnel to stop stagnating and quickly turn a situation around.

Good times
I like your Ginni call. Spot on.

Mitch Lewis! I fear he may go the way of DGB if things don't go right for him in 2025.
Don't get the comparison at all, Lewis needs a big year but he has shown when fully fit and playing consistently he is a very good and easily AFL quality key forward.

DGB had some injuries but even when he did string consistent games he struggled to show he was above VFL level.

For mind it is Seamus Mitchell. Started the year in the seniors and was solid defensively however went back to Box Hill and really found the attacking side of his game. If he can bring that to the seniors and find the right balance, can be a real asset coming off half back.
The natural successor to Jarmen Impey and whilst Impey still has plenty of good football left in him, I wouldn't be surprised albeit depending on how we are travelling, if they try and manage him a little more going forward.

Yeah he wasn't at his best in the seniors this year. Last year he was kicking well and providing some run.

That being said he was in the side when we were out of form and even Sicily was looking very average then.
