The entire comps huge and silly moneyAs a Delhi man since the beginning, I'm glad we missed out. Huge (and silly) money for an unproven youngster in the format.

Faced 2 balls from big Bruce at Groote years ago on a concrete pitch, scared the sh!t out of me!Bruce Reid - one of my all time favourites. But a real case of 'what if?'. When fit was amazing.
Shane Watson was another injury cursed guy we never saw the best of.
Speaking of fast bowlers, does Australia have anyone young thats up and coming? Lance Morris is 24 but has recently come on. Richo at 26 isn't really young in cricket terms either.I think fast bowling is like ballet - the human body is not designed to be subjected to such forces and inevitably will suffer from it.
Will Sutherland maybe?Speaking of fast bowlers, does Australia have anyone young thats up and coming? Lance Morris is 24 but has recently come on. Richo at 26 isn't really young in cricket terms either.
+10 years ago we had a plethora of young fast bowlers in Starc, Hazelwood, Cummins, Pattinson and even guys like Behrendorff and Paris in their teens and early twenties
Ellis is a solid limited overs bowler at the very least.Speaking of fast bowlers, does Australia have anyone young thats up and coming? Lance Morris is 24 but has recently come on. Richo at 26 isn't really young in cricket terms either.

As someone who's recently returned to it after 20+ years out, this is absolutely true.I think fast bowling is like ballet - the human body is not designed to be subjected to such forces and inevitably will suffer from it.
If you are batting first you wouldn't. But it would be interesting to see if you batted first whether you would back in the batting you have and add an extra specialist bowler at innings break.OK, I misunderstood this bit then:
You'd sub out your No. 11, no?
Will Sutherland maybe?
20 years out of the ballet game eh? Your pirouette probably needed a little work.As someone who's recently returned to it after 20+ years out, this is absolutely true.

Yeah Sutherland is just reaching some decent form. He was quite average till recentlyWill Sutherland maybe?
Steketee seems to have some skills tooIf you are batting first you wouldn't. But it would be interesting to see if you batted first whether you would back in the batting you have and add an extra specialist bowler at innings break.
Sutherland has been "coming on" for at least 6 years now.
Queensland have had a couple come through BBL and State cricket. I have high hopes for Bartlett as a new ball bowler.
Its why its important to keep BBL at 8 teams. With imports you still want slots for new players to get a run.
Steketee seems to have some skills too
Gee Steketee seems to have some skills
Glad you got the reference
Can only be a belter if the batting side has the personnel to do some belting.Have we won the toss and put them in on a belter here?
Bit of swing from Starc through the air but looks nice even bounce and carry with not much sideways off the pitch.
I’m sure the IPL auction took the edge offNaturally a catch is dropped off Green’s first ball of the match.
Followed by 2 boundaries.
Horror summer for him continues.
I'm happy to be proven wrong but I can see that contract being a millstone for his development. He's not a proven T20 player and the IPL is tough.I’m sure the IPL auction took the edge off
Yeah i don’t know why IPL sides keep overpaying for unproven international all-rounders. They seem to backfire more often than notI'm happy to be proven wrong but I can see that contract being a millstone for his development. He's not a proven T20 player and the IPL is tough.
