Big Footy is nearly as slow as AFL.com

I've noticed that BigFooty is loading much faster for me now I've switched from using IE7 to using Google Chrome.

I've gone from IE8 back to IE6 and it goes ok. My normal browser is Opera and while it slows at times it's generally good.

There is a lot of crap on IE8 but for me its loading quicker than it was.

I know its not my computer system or provider, but why is BigFooty slow these days.

I have been patient with it for ages now, and only come here as a matter of last resort.

It's response time seems to be intolerable.

Has anyone else suffered from this problem.

Tried 4 different computers.

Not good enough.

This is a huge site, why don't you respond to calls for help.

You've got ads splashed all over it, so its not as if you don't have funds.

Ive figured out that its the Foxtel adverts that cause it. With mine its fine but if im on a page for longer than 2-3 minutes then it slowly degrades to the point where it will take half a minute to scroll so you have to refresh the page. Only happens with pages with a foxtel advert though.
