Try this on for size, Joseph is a manager, Wallace wants out but knows the club can't afford to pay him so he asks Joseph to make some enquiries about the possibility of a group of supporters putting up the money to save Richmond from having to find an extra $1-1.2 mil to pay him out.

Leaving the club with the finances to secure Sheedy on a deal that sees the great one return to where it began at VFL/AFL level for him.

I don't believe this to be the case but it does add an element to the story when you really think about it.

That would be a novel idea wouldn't it. Unfortunately some people just want to make a splash and wield power rather than do anything constructive.

I know if you don't bag Wallace and Miller then you get accused of swallowing their spin and you're on 'their' side ( Goebbels/ Bush style argument) but I think we should follow a process through just for once!

I think the big difference here as oppossed to other years is that the fans want the coach to stay, as do most of the board.

I think that there is just alot of hot air going on ATM. The worst thing to happen at this club is if Wallavce gets the chop and Sheedy or whoever else also fails no self repecting coach is goping to want to go near the joint.

However worse case senario with Wallace is that the team fails again next year and he gets the boot, the new coach see's potential in the list and feels that they are just missing some key elements that he feels he can rectify.

exactly right mate. I think Wallace should stay and finish what he started, but it doesn't mean I cop all of his spin. It's worth remembering that 'spin' is just part and parcel of an AFL coaches life, especially when your team is mooted at the bottom of the ladder. Of course he is going to come out and put the positive spin on everything....and silly people keep getting so riled by it!
