The BigFooty.com 2008 AFL National Draft Competition

In readiness for the Draft BigFooty.com has come up with a competition in which you could win $2,000.00 cash straight out of my pocket.

The rules are simple and it is an easy two-step process to enter.

Winning the money: that’s the hard part.

To enter post the players you think will be picked in the first round of the AFL National Draft on 29th November in the order you think they will be picked. Then send your name, address and phone number to bigfootydraft@gmail.com (this information will be kept private and deleted when the competition prize has been paid).

If you pick the 16 players, in correct order, you’ll win $2,000 cash (or a share if there are multiple winners).

You’ve even got a head start – Ayce Cordy has already been picked at position 14 under the father/son rule.

Need more help? We’ll give you one Wild Card. Just put the words “Wild Card” in one position in your list and it counts as correct, no matter who is picked at that spot. You can elect not to use the Wild Card.

Please, only entries should be posted in this thread.

Entries close 11:59PM AEDT on the 28th November. You can post or edit your entry post up until that time.

You can talk about this comp in the following thread:

The Rules and Terms
  • This is a competition to see who can pick the first 16 draft picks in correct order. The description on how to enter (above) forms part of the terms of the competition, but everything should be clarified below. Contact us via this link if you have any questions: http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/sendmessage.php
  • Only entries posted in this official forum thread are accepted. The first post of the official thread gives you the format in which you must post your entry.
  • To post an entry, you must register for a BigFooty.com user account.
  • You must complete both steps in the entry process by 11:59PM AEDT on the 28th November.
  • You may edit your entry post. Entries which are posted or edited after the deadline, according to the forum and email time stamp, are immediately invalidated.
  • One entry per person, only one entry per household. Multiple entries by the same person using aliases or from the same household will invalidate ALL entries by that person or household. "Aliases" are determined by the judges and we reserve the right to identify these at any time, including retrospectively after the winner/s is/are announced.
  • Attempts to circumvent the rules or spirit of the competition render that entrant's entry (or entries) invalid.
  • The prize for picking the first 16 picks in the NAB AFL National Draft on 29th November 2008, in the identical order they are drafted, is $2,000 cash paid by cheque in the name of the winner(s) in four instalments of $500 each starting in March 2009. This saves me from having a dud Christmas when I fork out the cash.
  • If there are multiple winners the prize will be split evenly between all winners.
  • The prize is not transferable. Cheques will be mailed to the address emailed in and made out to the name in that email (Step 2 of the competition entry process).
  • The judges reserve the right to introduce further rules to protect the integrity and good intentions of the competition.
  • The judges will be Chief, Merv, Fred and Jim Boy. Their decisions in this competition are final. No discussion will be entered into.
