Despite the old man growing me up on his Paranoid double cassette I have to admit I've never really been much of an Ozzy Black Sabbath fan. Just can't get into it. I like some of Ozzy's solo stuff though. However, I love Dio and with people banging on about the Sabbath tour all I did was rock out to this album instead:

There's some classic stuff on that eh?? The riff to the title track.... My god.....perfection.

Bloody oath. He is the godfather of metal as far as I'm concerned. He brought more to what heavy metal became than anyone else. As I type this the Youtube page just ticked over to Heaven and Hell. Oh man, what a landmark. Those vocals. As much as I'm a trve kvlt goat kommando blakkk metal sort of guy, I have a massive soft spot so stuff like this album, Manowar, Rainbow etc.

You are hitting gold tonight. I love this Rainbow album!!!!

It's not bad, I just can't get into it. The self titled just had so many awesome and memorable hooks, this one I struggle to walk away and say that such and such song is a killer.

It is a bit of grower. Think No Tomorrow and Signal Path are the best tracks. It is a couple of songs too long.

I posted a tune of my old BM band here once but that was the only one I had. I've wanted to upload the whole album to youtube for prosterity but the CDRs we had pressed at the time (about 11 or 12 years ago now?) were shit quality and now don't work. Been searching the net and I think I just found a RAR on some Russian metal site of the album. If it works I'll upload the whole thing. Anyway, while searching I saw another track pop up on youtube and going by the name I think it was the drummer. I think this song is a lot of fun and listening back all these years later I reckon we had a bit of potential. I really miss playing this sort of stuff so I'm actually trying to get back into it.

TL;DR, atmo-BM. For fans of Abigor, Emperor, Satyricon, Dawn etc. A bit melodic. I did vocals and guitar in this band but this is the only track I didn't play guitar on. The last 4 or 5 minutes are just arpeggios and I could never memorise them properly in time so the other guitarist, the bloke who wrote it, did it instead. If anyone is familiar with Aussie stuff he has also been in Urgrund, Catacomb, and is the guy behind Moon (currently on Moribund I think?).

Ok I think I did it. This link should be the playlist of the album in order. Half the album is wank instrumental, but fits in with atmospheric BM I guess. Track 5 old mate from Astriaal did some vocals.

Song writing was mostly collaborative, except the keyboardist did the instrumentals, track 3 was the live head banger and track 8 was 99.9% my baby :thumbsu::thumbsu:
