The guy can only play in a 4-4-2 as a secondary striker, as a right forward/right wing absolute dogshit

Taking off Bergvall was dumb, I'd just chuck Kulu out on the right and Maddo plays the 10 and take Johnson off there

I can cop the Bergvall sub as long as he starts against Liverpool. Not sure you can expect him to play 90 and then back up midweek.

I re watched the first goal, changed my mind. Sarrs ball was slightly off but Bergvall made a horror decision and it's his fault.
Should have been called back for hand ball though

We've got a few guys who who could be world class but (just) something holding them back.

Johnson, Kulu, VDV, Romero, Porro, Maddinson. They are all, almost guys. On there day can be a class or two above but we do not see it enough.

Id argue Johnson is miles off world class, good finisher and good movement but that's it. He's not even at the level of Gordon, Kudus, Mitoma etc.
Maddison has always been like this, just a rung below world class.
Kulu I think has developed well but I think he's more athlete than technical footballer.
VDV has only played 2 years of senior football he's still developing, injuries mostly held him back
Porro is just a wing back in the wrong system for him and Romero I dunno what is the definition of world class for him? He's won a world cup yeah and I think people elevated him to world class based off that. Was he ever one of the best defenders in the league? That's a genuine question

World class playerw are world class regardless of the system they play in. Cole Palmer the example.

Yeah it would have to be a world class DM. Spurs clearly struggle to maintain tempo in games because Biss, Sarr and Bentancur don't have the passing capabilities to make opposition scared to press them. Too often when spurs can't pass out from the back you end up with son inside his own half trying to help with progression. I think that would be the change. Also the hardest players to find arguably.

Bale definitely was, Modric was close but dont think he was quite the player he became at Real whilst here. Jan and Toby were incredible. Maybe Lloris for a (very) short period of time was talked about as one of the best GK in the world.

We aren't bringing him to be a part time number 2. Kinsky would be starting as many as possible. Forster the likely backup and Austin and Tottenham using his solid debut to get a decent deal or loan for him

Even after the window i think it'll be hard to register the new guy with a non HG spot as the backup to Vic. I suspect he'll be our domestic 2 once Vic is back with Austin as the EL. Feel like we should be ending Forsters contract and promiting Austin to the 3 spot as a club HG
