I'm meaning in terms of our finishing position last season. I want us to fly up the table from 5th.

And yeah, gigantic IF.
Going to be a real what if season, IF we don't snare one of the cups

1 point from 6 against Leicester and Ipswich is criminal. 6 there and we'd be 2nd today

Definitely those losses hurt. Before the season if you said spurs beat united and city 7-0 combined at their grounds you'd think they were title challengers. Maybe they should be with how they attack. I think this summer will be key. Does Levy let ange sign some ready to go players. Does Ange get the chance? Does Ange want that or will he go young again?

Apart from maybe Richarlison getting his head turned by Saudi and Romero/Porro maybe getting snapped up by Madrid I don't think there's a heap of money left in the squad from sales so it'll be investment from here.

I totally understand spurs Fans wanting more than fun football, but man when they are on they are one of the best and most watchable teams in the world. Once they get their tails up and start attacking in waves they are bloody unreal

This place is getting insanely soft.
The main board where people just post spursy and don't actually discuss anything? No thanks

All the team boards are 'soft'. It's a safe place for supporters to post. It's what they are set up for.

Can’t you see the irony in this statement?

Most of your posts in here are personal attacks on posters that questions Ange’s management. I’m his biggest fan, but it would be softer to pretend that Ange gets every single decision right.

I haven’t reported you as I enjoy your perspective for the most part, but if you can’t discuss with other spurs fans in a respectful way then maybe this isn’t the thread for you.

Great contribution
Quality 👍

This season is so weird that I still wouldn’t put it past us to challenge for the title.
We currently have top4itis

Whenever an opportunity comes to go in there, we lose and normally it's to trash sides...

And no one is beating Liverpool this season, would be one almighty choke if they don't prevail

Apparently no other team has inflicted more losses on Pep than Tottenham Hotspur

not completely out of the realms of possibility
Since start Leicester title season we are 11W - 3D - 10L all comps v Manchester City.

Liverpool: 10-7-8
United: 9-3-13
Chelsea: 8-2-17
Arsenal: 4-4-16

Only Klopp's Liverpool matches us with a positive record against the cheats.

Bit too far behind now mate
I'm not expecting us to finish anywhere near first. Merely suggesting that this season is so close that we could be in a title race if we begin to show a hint of consistency.

It wasn't too long ago that people were saying there's no way anyone could beat City this season and in the space of three games they're dead in the water. Liverpool have no doubt been impressive over the first stanza of this season, but the reality is they are only 5 points clear with 26 games remaining (9 points ahead of us). They have much to prove before I crown them as champions elect. It's been 11 games - they are benefitting from a new manager who the league is yet to figure out. It happens to every manager that comes to the prem and finds early success. Once it happens, they will begin to drop points. That isn't even taking into account the inevitable injuries and form fluctuations that occur over the course of 38 games. I'm not so deluded to the point where I believe we are firmly in a title charge, but to suggest that it's a foregone conclusion that Liverpool will win this title is going a touch too early for mine.

Feel a little better about the Ipswich game, they battered United as well should have won. They're a decent team
agreed,

entitlement amongst "big clubs" supporters is strong. Barring clear relegation / championship teams, anyone can surprise anyone, even in the premiere league and it shows

Don't get me wrong, should be winning home games majority of the time but Ipswich are bloody good and in form right now. Couple of their players will definitely be plucked if they go down

Leicester are a clear 20th and should be beaten anywhere

Would say Ipswich are ahead of them but are a good championship level, that should be beaten after home

I'm forgiving for the away result at Palace or at Ipswich. But that home dropped points to Ipswich is unforgivable

Just rewatching the highlights and Son was nowhere near his best, but he was key to so many important plays for us.

Maddison assist
Set up solanke for a good chance
Won a key ball that started the Porro move

Yeah I probably didn't word it well during the game. I thought he was sloppy for his own standards but he's still world class and still creates chances. Even the shot from range nearly beat Ederson.

He wasn't electric or unplayable so i get what you mean. He has another level. But even this level gets an assist, a key chance that could have made it 2 assists, big part in another goal, and yeah could have scored a worldie too. Not bad for a 7 out of 10 Son game.

I think he was giving Walker all sorts of problems out there on the left. Might be a sign of where Walker is at. But his ability to go inside and shoot or outside and put in a dangerous ball on his left, really is something nobody else in our side can do

Again our inept squad planning biting us in the arse

Not enough cover across the backline.
Not a proper #2 keeper.

I'm now on the Ange gets a free pass this season. A 36 year old Fraser Forster playing angeball for at least the next month which we have our busiest period. Then we may (most likely not) address it come January
