New piping going on at AAMI. Not sure if it is for irrigation system or it is for new lights at oval. Western side area restricted for use as a result. Oval was scarified before Christmas Could impact where training occurs
Article is paywalled... who are the six AFL stars we should supposedly be targeting? And please don't tell me Sam Draper is one of them.

WHERE IS THE IMPROVEMENT GOING TO COME FROM FOR THE CROWS?
Key in this is getting Izak Rankine on the field as much as possible after his appearances in 2024 were limited because of injury and suspension. He wasn’t the only player the Crows missed through injury. Riley Thilthorpe, Wayne Milera, Josh Worrell and Matt Crouch all had injury impacted seasons and having them fully fit will be a big boost for Nicks. Especially Thilthorpe given that talisman Taylor Walker is another year old and the Crows fans are crying out for him and Darcy Fogarty to truly make the forward line their own. Luke Pedlar only played four games in 2024 and whether he can get back in the side, especially given the players who have come to West Lakes, will also be of interest this pre-season.
And then there is Dan Curtin. The Crows were very calculated and measured as to how they used Curtin in his first season at AFL level. Some of this annoyed fans, but there is a desire to not throw him in at the deep end. But given his size, versatility and ability to move around the ground the West Australian is a fascinating prospect. Another one to watch out for looks to be young defender Oscar Ryan. While he didn’t play a game in his first year at West Lakes, coaches are a fan of him and he has further impressed with the condition he has turned up to pre-season in.
The six are Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, Sam Draper, Luke Davies-Uniacke, Finn Callaghan, Leek Aleer, and Kysaiah Pickett.

In reality, we might be a chance of NWM or potentially Aleer? Didnt he train with us as a junior?
Aleer was in our academy i think.

He was an NGA, not sure we had the option inside 40
Nobody drafted him in his initial draft year. Taken as a mature ager, so we didn't have the right to match a bid.
Sure, though we could have drafted him if we wanted to.
He may harbour a bit of resentment for us overlooking him despite him being in our NGA at the time?
I doubt that very much.
We drafted Rachele at 6, and couldn't match a bid where Leek got picked even if we wanted to.

Yes, was long odds to make it in his Draft Year .....he's still no certainty to make it, as he only got a game due to injury this year
