How's that Swans reserves ruck McAndrew shaping up?

Any chance for the MSD if we have a spot?

Can’t say he’s really caught the eye Bicks but he hasn’t looked particularly of place either.

He’s a very tall man albeit quite lean. Foot skills aren’t flash as has a high ball drop.

Moves quite well though and on Monday showed he actually has some wheels chasing Filthy.

Both him and Rob haven’t been great in the air so far this summer. Rob in particular struggling with his marking a bit, hopefully that returns soon.

Ruckwork itself hard to judge as aside from some stoppage work at the end of sessions, there isn’t much ruck stuff to be seen and even then it’s against the orange bags rather than against an opposition ruck.

Considering we were rumoured to have put up a massive offer to Tim English last year, and there is smoke around Sam Draper at the moment, I don't think this is on the money. Whether right or wrong, it does seem more a case of we see developing rucks as a complete and utter waste of time and resources, and it's a position we can buy/trade/MSD a player in when needed.

Who knows if the English rumour had legs. I’d say the Draper one does (unfortunately), but I’d say that’s more for getting ROB’s replacement in case he goes back to VIC, rather than actively looking to upgrade on him

Either way, I’m not sure how spending the rumoured amount of money on the Draper contract has its advantages

Never known a ruckman to run @ 7.5 tackles per game and still young.
Makes me feel crook watching him compared to our boy.

Highly recommend 48 Flavours, its the best and I love my ice cream.

Sure its on Magill Road, but that walk will burn off any calories from the ice cream you had on The Parade.

48 Flavours is genuinely excellent, as good as any ice cream anywhere in the world. Whenever they have their Yuzu Sorbet in I buy a couple of the biggest takeaway packs

Once you mention salary, there is probably a fair bit of leg to it. After all, it's a downright ballsy gamble to make up an offer to try to up a deal. Especially as clubs would have a good idea of what each other is doing.

I think that is very optimistic. If we're in the market for Draper, either we're entirely done with ROB and are willing to take anyone, or we see him as an upgrade. Likely it's the latter, though I wouldn't rule out the former if 2025 is middling.

Though, I suspect the market will fall out on Draper. Mainly due to Essendon knee-capping him.

Hey fellas, looks like there’s a bit of spice in your preseason training which is always good, seems like Dan is coming along well too. Just wondering if any draft watchers saw Harry Barnett play KPD in juniors? Seems like we’ve abandoned him as a ruck for now with a positional switch at training which I don’t mind at all.
