They just won't spend the money, draft capital or can't get deal/s done and it's not good enough. Forgivable if it only happened during one season/draft period, but it's been a need for a long time now.

They DON'T think we need a developing ruck.

**** me, that's obvious that's how they feel.

They want a lead ruckman, a minimum wage backup and a couple of break glass ruck forwards. A development ruck has been a VERY low priority.

You can say they're wrong (hell, I'd rather another tall than Smith) but history is littered with successful, premiership winning teams who have a traded in ruck.

They obviously have been looking to replace ROB, and have fixed other issues before doing that. They'll bring a ruck in the off season, it just seems obvious.

It's Jones, not Jone's. To indicate possession, it would be Jones' (Jones's would be wrong, but at least it's close).

I saw that, and wondered if it was a nickname that I wasn't aware of. It's only now, 2 days later, that I realise it was just a mis-spelling of Sholl.

Well wouldn't be the first time. But normally people put a c in it as Scholl not School. Now he has three spellings. LOL

I'm often guilty of adding the 'c'. I made sure I checked the AFC website, to correct my own spelling, before I posted the previous response.

If we're being completely honest, "School" was probably the result of an over zealous mobile phone auto-correction. The offending poster is thus guilty only of failing to review what their phone has done to their message, rather than actively coming up with an incorrect spelling.

Jones' or Jones's, either is correct. Depends which style manual you follow.

Very possible. But don't confuse what has actually happened for what they wanted to happen. I vibe they got it wrong where rucks would be taken in the drafts i.e. went earlier or later than expected and also misread how easily they could pinch a ruck from another club.

Regardless they've ballsed it up over multiple trade periods now

It didn't really matter where the rucks went in the 2024 drafts, given that we didn't have an "live" picks (in either the ND or RD) to use after Draper.

I understand both sides of the RUCK debate .....if you're going to develop a Ruck, surely it has to be a Sth Aust lad ..otherwise the Vics or home states will pilfer after we've developed

There are a few lads bubbling away ....Goad is coming along nicely, just his tank is poor currently ....Reidy from FREO ect

What causes dismay is these players are sight unseen or devoid of whispers .....it doesn't mean Reid is sitting on his hands
