Why did Gallopin run on Anzac Day? Is he actually being set for something soon or is he just having the 1 run before the Spring?

Just having the one run with eyes on the spring. Think Master O'Reilly is doing the same thing, one run then straight back to the paddock.

Adelaide Race 1 No 5
Fly De Angels
Just got a call suggesting I have something on this.
Trained by John White at Mornington, is a half to Here De Angels.
Don't know much about it although interesting it has been taken to Adelaide for its 1st start.

John White may be worth following he has been given a lot of horses from owners that have been traditionally Freedman owners.
I believe a few of the raced have been sent over, I gather some type of dispute occurred.

2 black bookers from todays meetings around the country

arevalo- massive win today, showed an explosive turn of foot. this son of archway has now won 3 on end, and looks like many wins are still ahead of him. he has had bone chips taken out so he has had his fair share of problems but if he can stay sound he will win better races

in today, and is my best bet for the card!! will win

Haven't seen the Duke before, but i thought Diplomatic Strike could turn the tables on Vandalo.

The Duke trotted in at Goulbourn on Saturday was only $1.60.
On its way up North. Gave it a kill, the other way of going around.
Will be interesting to see how he goes against better company, given his only city run.

Tony Noonan's 2 year old Ortensia entered in the 1st for Saturday goes alright. The connections haven't missed out on taking a few $$$ from the ring at is first couple & I think there will be more money for it at Caulfield.

Has been $2.10 into $1.75 on TAB fixed.
If you get evens anywhere you have done well.

WRANGLE QUEEN- ran a huge race behind stanza spirit who has a fair share of ability. a daughter of king of prussia( son of anabaa, who was impressive as a young horse). wrangle queen was held up at crucial stages, and flew home. pretty smart this filly. follow her!!

Darcarwasha - Mick Kent 3yo.

Won debut 1500m Sale 3yo Mdn, didn't see the race just quoting the form guide.

2nd start, came to Moonee Valley today (Saturday race) , was 2040m.
Went back, didn't sprint, but was very strong at the end of 2040 despite its only 2nd start, got up for 2nd place but was a long way off the winner who also looks good, forget its name, Darren Weir trains it.

Looks like the longer the better, and with more seasoning/hardness/experience etc, could become quite useful.

The Weir horse is Maunatrice who will now probably head to Queensland for the Oaks, and Darcarwasha should have finished alot closer to it, it was held up and went back to the inside where it was stopped by the tiring leader, then it ran into something else in the straight before finishing off well for second. Definite black booker.

Scenic Silver a favourite of mine, is building a handy strike rate and will win a big one one day, I was more than happy to take the $9 today. Must have been a good ride was drawn in the carpark in 14.

Keep a close eye on this one, not sure if it was first up or not.....

A Perth two year old to watch is Russian Forward. In the one completed race this morning at Belmont Park, he motored home from last/second last on the turn to run fourth behind Nollamara on a waterlogged track. He also struggled for a clear passage until about the 150m.

Ran a sneaky 4th and started fav. Tried get through on the rails but didn't have enough in the tank. Next start I would guess would be over 2400m and will be a good show again.

Stayed at the 2000m and won easily today I thought. Good horse!
Another BB from a while back Moylan also had a sneaky win.

One I followed last campaign Superzeel resumed today at Geelong and ran a fast finishing 2nd over an unsuitable 1300m. Will win another race at 2000m and above, is another Zabeel with a big scope for improvement, races fairly similarly to Maldivian and is about as good as he was at this point in his career probably.

Hot race at Bendigo today - Race 7
One I like Ernie's Mate is a good chance at nice odds, has a future.
A few around here also like Jeuneyman who resumes.
Stavka resumes after nearly 2 years off the scene but was very impressive. Interesting race

I'll blackbook two horses from Seymour on Thursday both from the 2YO's race. The first is the winner Cats Whisker, in the Kavanagh camp, who was a class above the rest, but I also liked the run of the second horse, Elusive Desire, trained by Matty Ellerton, who stuck gamely to the task and worked home really well.

i forgot to blackbook whobegotyou who won well at geelong on the thoroughtrack a few weeks back!! its in today in the 1st at the valley...should go well again
