Bromley in at Sale today.

Happened to be out that way for work and dropped in for a look Moatize is close to the best looking horse I have ever seen and just pantsed them first up over 1400m, you would expect it to win, but considering its last three runs were over 2000 and 2400m it was pretty impressive. Beat home two of Moodys first starters who were very green but ran well.

EDIT: Just backed it for both the M Cup and Caufiled Cup then read in todays paper it had blood coming from one nostril.....sounds minor and only has to trial over a 1000m in front of the stewards to be passed as fit to run, still a bit of a worry though

Kiloton had a nice trial win earlier this week.
I keep mentioning him, but he never gets to the races, hopefully he will next week sometime.
2 starts for 2 wins, in Oct 06 and Aug 07. :p
Was trained by Waterhouse, then Bart, now Tim Martin.
And just like last year is in the Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate noms. :)

Finally Kiloton is back at the races. :thumbsu:
Race #1 at Rosehill on Saturday, hope he can go well.

Hope it wins for ya mate.

I like Stanton at Geelong in race 2 (about to run now)

Highly rated by many and a good size and held back for a long time now.

A heap of ability.

Very short, but should double the money.

Yeh won easily about 5 lenghts def. one for the Black Book.

Poised came at it at the top of the straight but Stanton went bang and ran away with it.

Another quality horse by the Williams camp 'ey?.

sparks fly- one of the most impressive debuts i have seen a long while!! come from a long last on the turn, over the 1000m today, and reeled them in easily!! its action was all over the place, didnt know what it was doing...this horse is pretty special...black type for sure!!

its very well bred, and thats why i backed it!! by the gun sire flying spur, out of handy racemare dual spark!! i had $5 each way on it..haha

I remember that debut on a Wednesday Sandown meeting, really was an impressive win, and she's back resuming at Caulfield tomorrow.

I've already posted this elsewhere, however I thought Kilotons run was the best I have seen so far this campaign. The front runner (forget its name, someting vegas) bolted in a trial over 900m by 7 lenghts and is going to be a serious horse.

Not many horses could have ran that thing down and it timed its run perfectly, definetly one to watch!

miles above - just had an amazing run at sandown and had a similar one at bendigo.

missed the start by 5 lengths and was still 5 lengths off them at the 800. Stormed around them up the straight to win by a length.

Still very green, but can be a decent horse this one i'd say.

huge run!! did the same last start as you said rough edges!! great to see dennis get another good one...

caufield guineas/ victoria derby dont look out of his reach

leica ding- huge win at casterton in its 1st start where it flew late!! ran again today in a 0-62 over a mile at stawell and won again!! looks above class, as not many horses go from a maiden to 0-62 (class 1) and win...

will make a handy staying mare in the future

time thief- this $2 million horse trained by freedman and owned by darley, just debuted at the valley, and won with ease!! bound for the caufield guineas and will measure up!!

i noticed freedman paraded this fella, on tvns coverage, when they were at markdel looking at freedmans spring contenders!! he showed this horse off, unraced, so he let everyone know how good he is...

just came 2nd, huge run!!

3 of my "residual" blackbookers from this thread saluted today, Light Vision, Stavka, and Marveen. Gallopin ran a ripper 2nd. He just needs to get in (as does Light Vis)

Stanton probably going around @ Sandown on Wednesday race 1.

Should go around pretty well.

Sadler/Williams are cleaning up at Bendigo today...but winner of race 2, Millbank, looks like it will come to the city very soon and if it holds its standard will win!

Led all the way and won by 6 lengths or so, absolutely exploded when it let down.

Ahh Banana Man does it easily, what a horse. :thumbsu: Caulfield Cup 2008!! :)

Banana Man resumes on Wednesday at Sandown.

I'm not sure how wound up Mick has him, but it's a pretty weak 1500m race, with a small field and only one other with a lot of scope (Sir Charlemagne).

He'll obviously be better suited over more ground and on a bigger track but if Mick has him relatively fit i'd be shocked if he didn't run in the first two.

I had a silly little interest bet on him at 150/1 for the Caulfield Cup (i think he'll be a better chance next year), so hopefully he returns in style.

Yeah noticed the Banana was in for Wednesday, hopefully he's not so green this season.
As for the Caulfield Cup, he'll need to win a decent race and get a weight penalty to get in.

Of course.

He's got a stack of ability and Mick is very, very keen on him (and he's not the type to talk up his horses publicly), so it'll be interesting to see how he measures up this time in.

I think the 2009 spring will be his go, but i wouldn't be shocked if he picked up a race like the 2500m G3 at Flemington on Emirates Stakes Day (always forget it's name).

Yeah, that's the one.

Thanks.

After it's first up shocker (albeit at an unsuitable trip) i'd want to see it run a good race before i fell into it.

Jabal Tarik has shown up in better races, Sir Charlemagne looks promising and Kudeta is in good form, but that's about where it ends, with the rest either being greybeards or limited battlers.

It's Banana Man's first run in more than 8 months, so i'm probably expecting too much to think he'll win, but if he's forward i'd really hope to see him hitting the line hard and finishing in the first few.

Either way it'll be interesting to see if he can go on and become a good horse.

Keep an eye out for Marne this saturday, the most impressive win ive seen this yr - and ill be suprised if he isnt a group horse in the making..

Also, on a lower scale, a nice run the other day - Marcus, won at Geelong and looked to do it easily, coming from behind off a slow tempo and romping in, might get overs in town, as his trainer isnt well known.
