Divine Rebel - Lightly raced NZ mare that Michael Moroney has brought over who just brained a pretty average lot at Warnambool.

She's only had 7 starts before today, winning her maiden over 2100m before running in the NZ Oaks.

Obviously didn't beat much, but the fact it won so easily over an unsuitable trip really made a good impression on me.

Look forward to seeing her in better races over 10 to 12 furlongs.

damn you!! ya beat me too it!!

i went the to races today, and this horse was one of the best wins ive ever seen at warrnambool, its turn of foot was amazing for don eduardo staying type!! the 2nd horse goes pretty good, so i expect this mare called divine rebel, to measure up to group class!!

Absolutely.

And the most impressive part was that she spaced them effortlessly.

Never got out of third gear, and Hall had a lap full of horse going over the line.

Can't wait to see how she measures up.

I saw a few cranbourne trails the other day and man did i see some very impressive winners.

The Annihilator - A quintin scott trained horse who smashed this field by 7 untouched look out for it.

Satsuma - a peter morgan trained horse who sat 3 wide for the trip and won untouched beating a pretty smart mick price horse...the win of the day and ran quick time. morgan is on fire so this is a big watch.

From the mares race on Saturday, Dane Julia was an obvious black-book run, TVN had it on their show, and i'm sure everyone here saw it. But also from that race Hifalutin i thought went ok finishing 7th back towards the inside.

Stanton probably going around @ Sandown on Wednesday race 1.

Should go around pretty well.

Stanton - Ran in race 2 not race 1 and won again.

Looks a very good horse this one.

Still questions over it's class as it hasn't beaten much but beat a very good horse in Dancefloor Prodigy today and even the highly rated Robert Smeredon horse, Spruce Dollar.

It led and then when challenged in the straight and then took off and won 3-4 lenths  awesome performance.

love it.

Banana Man went ok in the 1500m race, although i don't really see the point in staying to the inside when you have a stayer who is first up and needing more distance. Surely a better option is to let him get the the outside and see how much ground he can make up.

Freedman seems to have worked out Estee, more distance and let her run from behind. He said that's how she's been doing her best trackwork, and she ran on well for 4th in a slow race. Should win soon.

I rate the horses he beat today, and he did it easily. Very very good horse this one.

Agreed.

Been keen on it ever sicne before it's first run and jeez was it impressive today.

Dunno what it's targeted at but ran out the 1200 very easily today, could be aimed at some good races this spring.

Officially one of my boys now I think, really keen.

sparks fly- one of the most impressive debuts i have seen a long while!! come from a long last on the turn, over the 1000m today, and reeled them in easily!! its action was all over the place, didnt know what it was doing...this horse is pretty special...black type for sure!!

its very well bred, and thats why i backed it!! by the gun sire flying spur, out of handy racemare dual spark!! i had $5 each way on it..haha

First up came home for a nice 3rd at Caulfield 1400,
Is favourite for the Morphettville Guineas 1600 this Sat 13/9 and is $41 in the 1000 Guineas

I was just coming to the thread to mention that it was running in Adelaide tomorrow.

It's first up run was an absolute cracker, and Mick has a pretty damn good record when he takes horses over the border.

I'll be on it (along with his other runner).

BTW The $41 for the Thousand Guineas looks nice. Where did you see it, if you don't mind me asking?

Absolutely.

I've not done my 'in depth' form yet, but she looks the one and IASBet have her up at $3.20.

I'll be backing her either way, but if Maxisun wins the first at Geelong today, i'll be having a fair dip at Sparks Fly.

Happy Tumbler R2 @ Geelong... Won its trial with ease at Cranbourne Earlier in the week... One to watch :p

Currently at 16's on TAB

iamzeus- another good horse coming out of these geelong meetings on fridays!! stanton, whobegotyou, and now this horse!!
trained by dan obrien, it was backed for stack and won impressively!! this is another horse who can measure up in town over the spring carnival

Iamzeus - Big, green O'Reilly colt that Danny O'Brien just produced at Geelong.

They backed it in from about 2.70 to 1.70, it sat wide throughout but still beat a very good maiden field easily.

O'Brien has it nominated for the Thousand Guineas, and whilst it may not measure up to that, it certainly win be competitive in far better grade than this.

Exhale do you by any chance know what's happened to Cuthbert Son another of Kent's

Was that the stayer owned by the same people as Trick Of Light?

If it's the horse i'm thinking of, Mick rated it pretty highly, but it broke down about a year ago.

IAMZEUS Get on where ever it goes around again, going to be a star of the spring

allied force- group class horse, who won well just then at the valley!! this is another $2 million yearling, who came off a bendigo maiden win and toyed with his rivals today!!

i believe he will win something special over the spring..

in today at the valley and has opened real short

Interesting to note that the horse who finished in front of her last start just won at Moonee Valley (at the luxurious odds of $4.40 SP).

I ended up having a fair dip at her (and even ventured into the TAB for the first time in two years to back her at the $41 on Sportsbet for the 1000 Guineas).

Fingers crossed she can do the business today.
